Recruit
All cities seem to be laid bare.

I cannot recruit any new units, while enemies grow larger and larger.

Playing this game is growing very discouraging.

yes you do have to wait saddly, however if you install mag 7 you can hire unlimited units through certain conversations also its worth downloading anyway

Wow... I'm impressed. You managed to empty out EVERY city? That's literally hundreds of peasants, assuming you never manage to level any of them up! I would think that by now you would be a very high level, and able to solo enemy parties....

I'm only level 12, and I've lost only 5-6 units, and that's because I haven't been very cautious when it comes to charging out on my own (evil autocalc!).

Recruitable units are supposed to replenish. So the cities shouldn't run out, ever.

Yeah, it's sad.

A temporary solution (eg, a work-around) is to attack prisoner trains and make their prisoners part of your army. Since prisoner trains never stop coming and going, you will always be able to get more units this way (assuming you lose less units than you gain when you beat them).

Not hard to clean all inns of recruits with the new 'no recruits' bug because you have to run around with low level units + little cash in your purse + lots of enemies because your level is above 15 now. Not fun to have a peasant army that disappears after a couple battles with khergits or brigands. Really, really hope this bug will be fixed soon.

Honestly, that's how I get troops even before this bug. I don't bother with recruiting, just raid prisoner trains when I get low - and, if wiped out, prepare for an exciting three-man raid to get a new army.

Just wondering if I hit a prisoner train and resuced the prisoners, can I be able to go back to neutral terms simply by paying the fee or are the similar like the Caravans where they will always be hostile to you?

I also agree this is a bug and must be fixed but Im lvl 27 and I didn't drain the soldiers of any town yet. I think you should really work on your army management skills or choose your batlles more carefully. How did you manage to waste so many soldiers?.

The trouble with prisoner trains is that you need a fairly strong army to take them down. And then we are back in the loop of trying to get peasants to be viable fighters.

There is a world of difference between peasants and militia(s)/footmen(v). I have only had peasants deal enough damage to take out a prisoner train when I had a battle in a very rocky map. Lots of rocks made it real hard for the enemy to get to terms with the peasants. But too bad it wasn't a prisoner train.
