No Multiplayer? Then what about Single?

I wonder how a great game like that (good graphics, control, quests e.c.t.) doesn't have a multiplayer option (either online or peer to peer).
So, I suggest to devs to add this option if that's possible (to offer an experience like WoW) in final game version! Then M&B will the greatest 2008's game!
(It may be now too, but that's my opinion about multiplayer)

(Sorry for posting already discussed post)

Edit: I changed the title... In order not to be meaningless.

Congrats, you are now the one millionth member to suggest multiplayer.

And now for the answer: no.

He's the first person to answer a question you could have answered yourself with the search function.  Calm down a little.

As for the suggestion - it'd be nice, but not every game needs a multiplayer element.  And for this particular installment of this particular game, the devs have already announced they have no intention of multiplayer.  Maybe for Mount & Blade 2, eh?

A multiplayer suggestion thread (started due to the large amount of multiplayer requests) that is stickied. And it's in the suggestion board.

Have fun.

Edit: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?action=search2

With just one search of multiplayer, I got 11 pages; the first four having "Multiplayer" as a title.

Then... Don't make this game a multiplayer! I said that just because I imagined me and my friend playing together (like a million ones did before me, as I saw). Anyway I don't wanna pay any extra cost (like Lineage, Warcraft) plus the ultra speed internet connection that will be required, so I leave this issue alone. Sure, it's the developers' job to decide and make it... Anyway M&B is still good!

(Oh, and, Easy one up there, I didn't notice the previous threads  )

If you noticed the other multiplayer threads, then why did you bother making this thread? Your thread isn't any more important than the others - they are all equally unimportant.

I really don't get the mass hysteria about adding a multiplayer option to games.

I mean honestly, what's wrong with a single-player game? I was given my first 80386 back in '92 and for the next 14 years I managed to entertain myself with single-player games. These days, I'm only playing one thing online, that being COD4.

Yeah, props to all those MMO's out there, it's wonderful to see what can be achieved with technology, but I reject this developing notion that a game is limited or in some way inferior or unfinished if it doesn't contain an online element.

I agree friend. Just if someone see this game for the first time, he will think it's multiplayer too, certainly.
Now I'm changing the thread's title...
Please make the game full of options in singleplayer mode in order not to get bored too early. I think that's important for a game, because once I played a story-based game and now I totally finished with it. Yes it's important to have a large singleplayer game if there is no multi.
That's all

I don't know about anyone else, but I usually buy games for the single player. As for friends of mine, if a game doesn't have multi-player it's a friggin crime! I've tried to recommend M&B numerous times but when I mention no multi-player it's an automatic no. I must admit multi-player sounds awesome for M&B, but I'm not expecting it anytime soon.

Guys, I have a new idea: peer-to-peer (connection of 2 computers with cable without any internet)!
Why not that? Would it be difficult? It more simple idea AND like multiplayer thing! Really some games have this option (unless it's pure multiplayer too  )

(Modders, can you do something?)

Edit:But ok guys, it's not actually multiplayer, right?

Why dont you read the threads you were linked to? They have all this and more. Its a mute point, NO multiplayer.

If you have friends in the real world that you want to play with, you can share a single game. One of you controls the keyboard, the other controls the mouse.

This is an excellent suggest that we should explore further.  Go over to the mod development forum and start a thread there to get some of people together to make a mod that would add multiplayer support to the game engine.  If you can get maybe 5 or 6 people, they could probably make it a persistent world that supports hundreds of people at once, just like World of Warcraft...  but with 2 or 3, peer-to-peer is more likely.  Most of the mods now are just boring things like ancient Greece or cowboys and crap.  Be sure to emphasize this so that they realize how much better it would be to spend their time on a 'quick and dirty' mod that just adds multiplayer.  Good luck!
