Seriously, given how much the Polish Hussar Armor reminds me of Roman Lorica Segmentata, I was looking forward to forging a New Roman Empire. Ironically, of course, in Eastern Europe rather than Italy, but the point remains.

I am literally going to tab into the game, click quit, and wait for a mod.
I mean, it's been a LONG time since I bought this game for the native gameplay but still, this is pretty poorly made stuff, removing some of the best bits from warband and adding new confusing systems that don't have an incling of intiuitive gameplay in them, leaving you guessing, stumbling, stuff just doesn't make sense, lack of information. bah.
Taleworlds should just quit making game worlds and focus on the engine the mods are always ten times better than anything they ever come out with.

The more I read about peoples experiences, the more I realise this isn't really so much a game, as a mod set to be as accurate to that book its based on as possible, including removing player freedoms that would go against the story of the book.
Hopefully the game will bring some good tools and code to the modding community though, and hopefully taleworlds will spend our money on something with broader appeal for the next game.
MnB2 perhaps...would be about time.

Well, you can still make a rebel kingdom....this ain't Caladria, the idea of 150 dudes capturing one castle and declaring themselves a new sovereign nation in 1650 Europe is a little silly. But, you can still be independent, and as people have mentioned it sounds like an incredibly simple modification.

I agree, Fire and Sword has disapointed me too. They took out so much stuff its unbelievable, Warband is so much better. I mean you cant make your own kingdom? wth? no marriage? no vassels? no female PCs? Whoever decided these things should be fired. At least modders will fix it so i can finally play the game.

no player kingdom? i freaking knew it....this game is going down the drain, and i hate guns to begin with, i cant even get crossbows, or bows for my swedish troops, and grenades? wtf suicide bombers in multiplayer.
