Sergeant
Yargolek seems incapable of comprehending that I do not want to be marshal. He appoints me, I refuse, a week or so goes by and he appoints me again... Rinse and repeat.

I did take it once, only because I had hoped to break the chain by resigning as marshal at a feast and trying to recommend someone else but that didn't work either

Seems the only time Yargolek knows the meaning of the word no is when it comes to assigning the fiefs I want (but has no problem giving me the ones I don't want..)

He probably has a high relation with you, as well as the lords. Honestly, if everybody likes you, you can do a whole lot as marshal.
Why not start crushing your enemies?

You're probably either being voted in by all the vassals or Yaroglek just really wants you to be marshal. You can do quite a bit as marshal, you know. I'd take it.

I know why I am getting voted in, it is just annoying that it is constantly happening because I don't  want marshal. As marshal I lose relation any time a lord not following me is defeated or we lost a fief. Given the size of our kingdom right now it is very possible for them to besiege a castle/town and us to lose it while we try to make our way seeing as how we have to cross the entire map and I am not going to take my own army up against a 10k+ strong khergit army.

@Belisarius I intend to rebel, but there is work to be done behind the scenes, I need to set them up for a fail so when I do I can make a huge power grab.
