No increase to relationship or influence when bartering

I had tried bartering captured lords with lords from my clan to try to increase my reputation with them and or influence, but the only thing it effected was increasing my charisma. They also did not offer any money. It seems like It should be some balance of influence, money / reputation in addition to increasing the charisma trait since you are interacting with them.

I had also tried offering money or items to lords to try to effect relationships but that has done nothing either.

I was able to get it to trade gold for the prisoners. Which is good. The auto trade feature is only working some of the time to balance the gold. One time it automatically added gold on my side to balance it out. This last time it would not do it at all. Also I am not sure if this is intended or not but when I started trading other items he was less agreeable to the outcome. It may be different between characters.
