No duel or battle

Why are these two simple and popular game modes not mentioned in the latest TW post? Is the game really going to ship (sorta) after 10 years without these fundamental Mount and Blade experiences?

By the sounds of it, yes. They may be added at a later date, though.

I've been hearing that they are a thing... just not here yet. Patience is a virtue.

I wonder how duels will work with the class system.

Welp now that the game is out, the lack of duel is a really obvious negative. I've got a bunch of friends who are playing a Mount&Blade title for the first time and nowhere to actually show them how to play. Instead they can now join Siege or TDM and get slaughtered endlessly or flail ineffectually until they get bored.

Just give us a place where we can chill, learn, and explore the mechanics.
