I'm having this same issue... What do you mean by "it worked?" Is there a workaround?Weird, it worked. But there's no feedback from the menu. -shrug-
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, but unless I'm missing something, I don't think that's working for me.So, select the person (as you see in my screenshot), then simply hit escape. There should be a general's (lord) portrait added to the lower right box above your travel and other stats to the right of your own face. little foot in his portrait box means he's racing to your rescue.
I also just click to the right side of the little nub on the bottom of the menu just outside of it. that worked too.

The workaround for this is to go into options and change your resolution to something with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The buttons to cancel or form an army are hidden behind the UI on 16:10 and 4:3 ratios.
You can avoid non-native shenanigans by making sure you're using an appropriate scaling method. Bannerlord seems to want to enforce a stretching method but an option in my driver control panel was able to override it.Oh man. I don't want to avoid native resolution and the blurry effects that would happen. But thanks for this good info! Any other screens messed by this?
