Here's the screen- no buttons below the book? Anyone else? Just me or a bug...?

So, select the person (as you see in my screenshot), then simply hit escape. There should be a general's (lord) portrait added to the lower right box above your travel and other stats to the right of your own face. little foot in his portrait box means he's racing to your rescue.

I also just click to the right side of the little nub on the bottom of the menu just outside of it. that worked too.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, but unless I'm missing something, I don't think that's working for me.

The workaround for this is to go into options and change your resolution to something with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The buttons to cancel or form an army are hidden behind the UI on 16:10 and 4:3 ratios.

i found out the reason its not working, as the buttons are hidden behind the screen, try changing your resolution and seeing if the buttons move down a bit so you can see them.. until they fix the buttons to move with the screen for resolution youll have this problem.

Oh man. I don't want to avoid native resolution and the blurry effects that would happen. But thanks for this good info! Any other screens messed by this?

You can avoid non-native shenanigans by making sure you're using an appropriate scaling method. Bannerlord seems to want to enforce a stretching method but an option in my driver control panel was able to override it.

As for other screens I've only noticed one other major issue so far; joining another lord's army and encountering a battle, you get an option to pick a formation to lead, but again the button to continue is hidden behind the UI. And this time pressing escape does nothing and all you can do is force-close the game. I haven't tested that one on 16:10 though so it's possible it's a 4:3 only issue.
