Nissa Companion Quests

I got to part 2 or 3 of Nissa's quest where, after waiting two days, the village elder wishes to see me.
Going to the town, there is an extra option labeled (Quest), so I click that.
But There is no one to fight.
I talk to the town elder within the map, and he says to come back after two more days.
I cannot exit with tab.
It tells me to talk to the elder to settle things.
I cannot progress with the quest.

Are there two separate notices that Nissa makes?

This is an inconsistent problem that I thought I'd put to rest in v0.14, but it seems not.  For now the only thing is to try it a few times and see if it works as it usually does, sometimes not for some folks and usually doesn't, sometimes does for others.  For v0.15 I'll see about redesigning that segment so that this isn't continually run into.

Hello,

I faced the same problem, but today I was able to complete this part of the quest. This time I had the warning directly from Nissa when travelling, not just a notification while I was resting at camp, like the other 3-4 times I tried the quest. I don't know if the problem could be linked to resting/travelling, anyway this worked for me, hope it'll help !

I've found that I can work-around the bug by saving just outside of the village.  After saving, run into the village and check the elder.  If it's bugged, then just reload and check the elder again.  After a few reloads then it works.

I got to the part where I was supposed to fight her but we got 5 days to get ready, 5 days pass and I fail the quest. She bugged me several times about her quest but when I went to the Elder all he said was "Its nice what your doing for Nissa..." Now after the quest is failed he acts normally and she is still traveling with me.

Well, after reading this thread I was a bit worried about trying the quest, but it worked perfectly for me first try, so it's not completely borked! And having coded mods myself I am really impressed with it! (Notwithstanding the minor annoyance of Nissa nagging me that time was running out over and over ad nauseum =P)

If you can load the scene where the elder is waiting in the ring with the three opponents then it's working, instead of talking to the Elder though you need to wait for him to talk to you so just go to him and wait a little bit.

Took me a few times thinking it was bugged before I waited a few seconds and it worked.

I tried to be a little to clever and have Nissa wait outside the ring. The quest wouldn't fire until Nissa was next to the Elder.

Another issue I'm facing: when I got the quest, my party was full so Nissa couldn't join (but there was no error message and the quest was added to my log). Now she's no longer in the tavern where I found her and nothing happen when I go to her village. Any way to un**** this situation?

Check the reports/party/companion missions ... it should say, that Nissa is trying to rejoin party, and then she should pop up in few hours.

It looks like I need to add in a party size check prior to the quest triggering.  I've not run into that personally, but it sounds like St4rk has.  Ticket #1496 created.

I don't know if this was already fixed but...

it works for me. You simply have to have Nissa walk up to like 2m from the elder so the elder actually continues the quest. If she is not within that range of the elder you keep getting the 'come back in a few days' or other such messages.
