Night time realities.

Just a question. Should smithys and merchants be closed at night? It might help a real world feel. Only the inn would be open and you could sleep until morning and then grab your stuff.

Ye, but i think we should have the ability to camp (sleep) first, or people will wait around towns using space and getting bored to death (to save the high pay to the inn).

Agree, but first every city should have a small little area (like Zendar) with a few buildings, and doors to enter those etc.

Likewise, once that is implimented (if it does) and shops DO close at night, there may be a possibility for a 'thief' class character, who can make use of stuff like 'lockpicking' to break into such shops. Of course the chances would be pretty slim of success, unless your skill is really really high, and either town guards can come and beat you up or your lockpicks break, stuff like that. I'm sure such suggestions would come with time should the game develop, and more features implimented ::grin:

By the way, there is a really really old RPG game (also single player) called daggerfall. Graphics suck, (more or less, it was one of the first 3D games) however the world is huge. Has about 50 countries, each country has over 100's of cities, 100's of towns, temples, villages, graveyards etc. and each city will probably have over a hundred different shops, guilds etc. and over a thousand of residential houses which you can all technically enter... You could also swing your sword in the directions you choose, (click and drag left, to swing from right to left, or right to swing from left to right and such). The mounted combat is usual though, (invincible horse), the enemies not realistic, and its a whole different game, but a few relatively interesting aspects and ideas from it could be looked into.. (You could also strip naked, and buy underwear and clothes in it haha)

Ye man this is one awesome game, you could even buy houses and own ships later on, but the old bathesda team was known to be made of elite geeks and a lot of those. (daggerfall was easily 10x better than morrowind imo)
Also daggerfall was aimed to be a openended solo rpg whereas m&b aims to be more of strategic than solo.
So i think unlike daggerfall, m&b goes in the direction of having politics between factions, wars etc unlike daggerfall which focused in what the individual can do.

Agree, thats why I don't want M&B to become like daggerfall. Theres already daggerfall for that lmao. (yes it was better than morrowind)
I was just implying that a few ideas from daggerfall could be brought up (eg travelling, larger world, buying a mansion for your entire army etc.) discussed, and if the community vastly agrees maybe further looked into. I would personally be really happy to see M&B grow into something new, with strategy growing alongside roleplay. Its like right now, if you ask somebody 'what is M&B', chances are they would say its RPG, strategy AND a medieveal commander 'simulator' at the same time. Its a game of its own innovation. Would be great if it could develop, grow and still be different from the rest in this way.

I just personally think it would be more interesting to develop cities, and the ability (which some1 else suggested) to swing your weapon with the mouse. Daggerfall is just an example for that ::grin:

Yeah i like it. İt is very realisic ....

By the wayy why isnt there any people in Four Ways Inn. I think Four WAys Inn must be like Zendar

Thats because the game is still beta, and the developers are still adding in stuff like that. I'f im not mistaken (I hope) once the full version comes out, all the cities and buildings would have a unique physical structure (like zendar), along with NPC's, quests, buildings etc.

I've never played daggerfall but i thought morrowind was good. Quite looking forward to the new one on the xbox360. Small trouble is getting one...

My little bro seems to get everything, but then he'll be playing it all day. Hurry up and finish M&B so i can pump my time into this.

I hope Armagan doesn't start playing daggerfall for research or we'll never get a finished game

Daggerfall was what morrowind is the sequel to. Morrowind graphics owned daggerfall, but I still prefer it since it was just... I dunno... more feel in it?

I like the RPG face of M&B, but I agree, cool and own things of M&B are that is a non Magical RPG (still... we have undead (?)) and as Volkier said, is a Warlord Simulator. But although is an strategy game in that way, is more RPG. Personally, I would like to have some implements as thieving, making house, and that all useless and unnecesary things, but that can be funny.

Just imagine if the char must go to the toilet... , or take a bath because is dirty of sand and blood from the last battle... anyway...

May be the last I said may not be implemente, because can change the rate of the game.
