Nice shadows went away?

Hi all,

I'm a new M&B user, love the game! However, I've been having a problem with shadows.

I was playing a while ago, and I noticed that all of the graphics options had been turned to "disabled." I re-enabled them, and everything is fine except that I don't have the nice looking shadows any more. There are shadows, but they're just circular blob shadows.

I've tried turning all of the options off and back on again, but it didn't make any difference. How do I get the good looking shadows back?

M&B version .702
AMD 2800+ CPU
1 GB DDR ram
NVIDIA GeForce 4200 vid card (128 MB ram)

I am inclined to believe you are sane for the time being.

But as my memory is still some-what operative , i thought the latest patch was 0.701

Since when did 0.703 come out?

Yesterday, I believe.

0.702 has been out for quite some time though. He created a quickfix mount&blade.exe to replace the one that came with 0.701 ... fixing a few bugs and such.

Why exactly is everyone downloading the new patchs off peoples signatures then?

I checked the downloads section And the update thing from the Mount&Blade update menu thing and both said i had the latest version , that being v0.701

The downloads section needs to be updated obviously.

[edit] ok i just checked and now you can download v0.703...

THings always have to happen to make me seem foolish
Hell they probably updated the site 10 seconds after i saw it or something.
