Why? Version 1.113 isn't that bad.

Tell that to all the companions who decide to attack they leader when he/she tries to rescue them just because they're mad at v1.113.
Tell that to all the rulers who can't run their kingdom properly because of the bugs in v1.113.
Tell that to all the landlords who are crushed by the weight of tax inefficiency.
Tell that to Ramun, who lost his suppliers because he can no longer pay them.

I think this bug has to do with the enemy lord, or the lord that captured him in the town at the time you break the person out.  Any time this happened to me, I waited until the lord of the place left then went back in and all seemed to work fine.  Folks might want to test this.

I know of that bug. It doesn't make the game totally unplayable. There are work around such as the one posted above, but I don't know if they all work.

Tell that to all the rulers who can't run their kingdom properly because of the bugs in v1.113.
Which bug exactly? Which of the function wasn't done properly? For me, AI Kings run their kingdom just fine (just not as smart). Unless, you expect them to be better than they are in M&B or comparable to player.

Tell that to all the landlords who are crushed by the weight of tax inefficiency.
Easy tweak make game playable with less tax insuffience. You can wait for the new version with the bug fix, ... wait I'm not sure if the Devs call it a bug. It works as dessign. May be just a bad design.

Tell that to Ramun, who lost his suppliers because he can no longer pay them.
I haven't talk to Ramun since M&B version 0.9-something. For non-outlaw prisoner, Ransom Brokers pay out just fine if not better than the slave trader. Again, whatever the bug is, it's not game breaker as other bugs.
As I said, it isn't too bad to the point it's totally unplayable. You still can get some fun out of it even with all the current bugs.

You might be in for a long wait if you want a bug free version.

I'd agree it's playable, but he does have a point. It's difficult to immerse yourself in the game when you're constantly avoiding certain game mechanics because they're currently broken.

I've actually been expecting a patch for a few weeks now. If you scan the bug tracker, it looks like quite a few (mostly minor) issues have been fixed over the past month or so. The game certainly isn't broken by any means, but I've also been waiting around for the next patch before starting up a new single player game.

'Course, during the live interview they said that there was a new multi-player mode in the works, so they might be waiting for that to be complete before releasing the patch.

What I find irksome is that having your own faction is pretty much being the same as a merc, only more headaches.  It's feels like the added paperwork to the game when you make your own faction.

Isn't there also a bug where you cannot actually assign garrisons to castles or towns which you conquest when you are fighting for a claimant quest?

I have never liked playing as a vassal, and mostly have played the claimant quests, and since that (as well as the Player Faction approach) seem to be bugged as far as fief allocation goes, I've started over with a new SP in CaW. Hopefully the new patch will be out by the time my latest character ("Ron Jeremy") gets big and strong.

I'd call getting bombed with script errors pretty bad. It's ridiculous that **** still exists months after release. They could at least release a small patch to fix that kind of things intead of sitting on the entire goddamned patch until some multiplayer whatever thing is finished.

I think it's related to lords of your own kingdom though so I'm just not going to recruit any in my current game, hopefully getting rid of the red spam.

That's pretty annoying. I believe I fixed it with a couple lines of code and may be I changed a constant somewhere.

Would a "community made mini patch" work for you?

Thanks but I just started a new game and it'll take me a while to get to a point where I need lords. Who knows, maybe hell will freeze over and a patch pops up before that.

Yeah it's been a long time since the last patch came out. I've been playing World of Warcraft for the time being, but I too wonder how come the next patch is taking so long.

I've never used a custom moduole setup befor enow.  What do you do when the patch comes out if you have a seperate module you are running?

Personally, I'd replace the native module from the backup, update the game, then reconfigure the new native module to take on the mods.

You mean repaste all the python code into a freshly patched native?

Yup.  This way you are sure the native is a good version and don't have to worry about compatibility issues.

No quick way to do that I'm assuming? I need to compile a better list so I can run through more quickly and identify what files I have changes in.
