Newbie Questions

Heh, had to edit the topic title because I really have a ton more of questions. My original question was:

I got a Salvaged Spear item by destroying a party of Blightlords deserters. Aside from being worth quite a sum, is there any other use for this spear?

1) Now I found some more salvaged stuff from the undead enemies. Is there any special use for this?

2) Looted a scroll from a Keepers of the Scrolls party, but I can't seem to do anything with it. It seems to be a book, but neither Select a Book to Read nor Use an Item in the Camp menu offers anything to do with it.

3) There is no option to ask Illoriaon lords for quests. Am I missing something?

4) Is there anything to do at the shrines? The only option I can see when visiting one of them is Leave.

The Salvaged / Broken stuff you can sell at markets. There are no other uses (That I know off)

There are several scrolls. Just collect them. Once you have several, you will see a sentence form. You can't read them or anything. That little line of text in the description is all you need. This part is outdated though, but it's still fun to finish this small 'quest'.

I don't believe the Leader of the Illoriaons, just like the Warchief of the Ferons, gives quests any more, due that those have been replaced with a quest line (Albeit still incomplete for the Illoriaon). I don't know about others though.

The Shrines get more use if you're part of the Illoriaons. Also, in a certain quest one of the Shrines might be useful for the BP

Those quests sound like fun but I haven't seen anything more detailed about them in the forum. Should I talk to someone specific to get those quests or should I just wait and see?

You'll find a lot of quests by just playing, really. The Feron have a pretty straight forward system, but then so does Illoriaon. The quests do have uses, and doubtless you'll find what they are some time.
