new version has upset me :(

lost my character who i was really enjoying. Ok thats maybe my fault for not reading up before i upgraded.

worse still the game freezes up and crashes all the time now I love this game and now its unplayable.

ps i did upgrade to 7.02 and it hasnt helped.

before when it crashed it crashed to desktop. now the PC freezes and i need to reboot.

You can use cheats to get your character back if you remember most of his/her stats and equipment.

As Graphia said ... you can use in-game cheats to 're-create' your character.

As far as the crashes go ... if you are using 0.702 ... make sure that you are creating a new character with that version and not using a version from 0.701. There have been some compatability issues between the two.

The problem is, it takes forever now to level up your character using ctrl-x... I think i sat for like an hour hitting ctrl-x trying to level up my character back to level 45. Most ridiculous waste of my time ever.

Have no fear, there are one of other way to get back to your older character without having to repeatly click on ctrl+X, go to this topic http://forums.taleworlds.com/viewtopic.php?t=3803 and make small changes to your conversion.txt file.
