Hello everyone, and before I even start, thanks for trying to help me. I have some questions which I hope you can answer about the Singleplayer game as I can't find any guides with the specific answers I am looking for. The questions are the ones which follow:

Keep in mind to answer according to the singleplayer part if the game please.

1) What are the factions good at? Is there a faction which has good marksmen and pikemen simaltanously?

2) what is the best way to recruit? Mercenary Camps or Villages?

3) Are horseback shooters broken like the Kherigits in Warband? ( You know, they charge instead of running and
shooting)

4) A good trade route to start out in this difficult world filled with the lawless and brigands

5) Can you be a king or do you remain as a "rebel" if you decide to start a new "kingdom"?

I know that is much but please be patient with me. Once again thanks for all your help, I appreciate.

: The swede have the best muskets in general, they also have ok pikemen, but melee is not their strong side. They usualy have very heavy armor. Only little cav, but the swedish reiter is one of the heaviest armored troops in the game. The crimerians have bows for their cav and some of the best cav in the game. Its a bit of a mix between bows and muskets there. The poles have a general mix, but use muskets more. The russians depend mostly on melee inf. The Cossacks is a mix between cav and inf.

2) what is the best way to recruit? Mercenary Camps or Villages?
Depends.... If you ahve money, go upgrade some mercs, if you need some cheap shizzle, village.

3) Are horseback shooters broken like the Kherigits in Warband? ( You know, they charge instead of running and

I wouldnt really say so... They tend to stay outta melee as far as I've noticed, I wouldnt say that they avoid it, but they dont just go directly into it.

4) A good trade route to start out in this difficult world filled with the lawless and brigands
I dont have a lot of experience with trade routes, but I usualy start out at the Crimerians and buy something from down there, and bring up to sweden or Poland.

5) Can you be a king or do you remain as a "rebel" if you decide to start a new "kingdom"?
No. It's based on that book, so it follows a certain storyline.

I know that is much but please be patient with me. Once again thanks for all your help, I appreciate.

And it was no trouble ansvering your questions! Hope others will findhelp here too!

Sweden. Definitely. Also the Swordsmen rule in a siege attack.

As a beginner, keep away from Cossacks: most of their troops have low armour and are therefore hard to play for a beginner.

oh, thanks alot for the reply now I can actually start playing without getting lost in the fields near Zamoshye

Hi, it's boring old me again, with one last question (I hope ). How can I get winged hussars? I tried the mercenary camp but there only sells normal hussars, not winged. I am guessing I have to become Polish vassal, but that is not a problem as long as I get plenty of winged hussars. Also as i have almost forgotten, how can I get more men? I can't recruit from villages, part is NOT full but there is no option to recruit, and village is friendly ofc. Whenever I get some men, I get heavy losses with whatever I fight. I need some help on recruiting, its not straightforward like in WB. I am sorry for annoying you, it's just that I am a noob in these things.Help is again appreciated. Thanks alot.

You get faction troops from cities, provided the necessary infrastructure (buildings, officers) is in place, and you are, of course, a vassal/member of that faction.

Village troops are capped at 10 or 12 max when you're not part of a faction, they're pretty much just there to provide some meatshields for the first few fights. As soon as you have some cash to spare, you should get some mercenaries from taverns, the pikemen offer particularly good value for money (due to their good armour), and both the musketeers and marksmen provide decent firepower...

Casualties are unavoidable to a degree, musket warfare is attrition warfare... the obvious solution to this is to use your companions as meatshields, along with some expendable armoured troops (tavern pikes, basically), but even so, some of your good troops will catch a bullet...
