New to NW; Lowlander looking for active EU regiment

Hey TW,

I just decided I really liked the look of Napoleonic Wars after seeing some of Dsylecxi (or w/e he spells it) and CHKilroy's videos. So I went ahead and bought it.

I'm Dennis, 22 years of age, Dutch, and I liek the vidya. I have access to TeamSpeak/Ventrilo/Mumble, all that stuff. I am free every night, so training days aren't a problem, and I reckon time shouldn't be either.

I'm completely new to NW, but I do have some experience with this kind of thing. I've played with a very serious group/clan in Red Orchestra for a long time, so I can show discipline (when it comes to videogames ) and skill as an infantry soldier or commander.

I decided that the best way to get into this was to look for a regiment in my timezone and one that would fit me. However, there are so many regiments I don't have a clue where to start looking. I don't particularly care what faction you play for, and I'm willing to try any sort of role (though I really like skirmishers!).

What I'm looking for is a mature, active regiment that can show me the ropes, and one that is serious about what it's doing, but not too serious to forget that they're playing videogames.

I was hoping I could get a taste of this game tonight, but that is probably optimistic. I am reluctant to join a random public server, as I've seen videos of them, and they don't look like the sort of linebattles and realism I'd enjoy.

Mainly most people would tell you to join a line infantry regiment. To me, the problems that arise are that you have very little choice of where to go and how you fire. We're what you call a skirmisher battalion. You'll be able to fire when you want, use cover and be one of the few men on the battlefield with a rifle instead of a musket.
