Textures folder copy the folder with the mod.
... \ Mount & Blade Warband \ Modules \ Napoleonic Wars
... \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ mountblade warband \ Modules \ Napoleonic Wars

And how does one change distance? 

Buy a chair on wheels. Drive up and move off the monitor.

Just played with the new building texture.

Its great, it gives a 3D that the building very much needed. It feels too dirty, though. But is still better than the default one by far.
