Demand #1: $10k prize pool.

Demand #2: Admin pool will consist of Nvno, Volpel, Jim, Mok

Both demands must be fully adhered to for tournament participation.

If you're interested in actually hearing from someone who isn't a mouth-breathing, window-licking retard, I'll offer some advice:

The big teams, you're going to have trouble getting them interested. If you can realistically put the level of money into this you're talking about, you have a better chance, but it still isn't guaranteed. I understand that a $1,000 prize pool is insanely unrealistic for a Warband tournament, but even with that unrealistically high prize pool, you also need to understand that the winning team most likely has a roster of 6 starters with 2 backups, meaning you're cutting the prize 8 ways which results in about $100 a player. The amount of time it's going to take to get back to top level competition form where everything is as sharp as it needs to be is most likely around 80 hours a player. I make more than $100 a day, it's just not enough of a driving factor to really make me want to get motivated about coming back and dragging my team kicking and screaming back to a game they don't want to play.

If we were talking about flying people into a LAN type setting, including some of these European mother****ers who need a good dickstomping, I guarantee you we would be first in line. But that's about what it would take at this point, everything else we've already done:

Best in the scene.
Won tournaments.
Won money.

It's hard to justify coming back to do it when you've already done it, feel me?

Great idea and nice to see some money in Warband.

If it were a substantial prize pool (~$5K+), I'd give it a shot, if only to help some of these wK heathens get through college.

I'll leave the other questions unanswered (sorry X), as the prize amount is the only salient factor in my/wK's participation.

I will also point out that John has addressed the whole coming back for another tourney topic and as far as I know, we will be back.

This is the attention Warband always should have had.  I don't understand how SC2 can be the esport it is and Warband with it's actual skill not.  Anyway asking the magic 8-ball, "outlook unclear, check back later"

^ What he said, but I probably wouldn't be playing. I'd offer to run it, though.

Get wK, BkS, TMW, Balion and AE (and other EU competition) in the same room and I will be there tomorrow and I almost guarantee you everyone you listed will be there including me.

Otherwise as Rhade said this is kinda not going to happen.

10k prize is a good starting point.

Make it happen.

The last UNAC had a not-insignificant cash prize, the difference between $350 and $1k isn't much when you split it between a team. I don't think cash can be relied on to be a good motivator for the NA scene, only a nice bonus.

Agreed, which is why I reiterated that point that Arys made earlier. Also, the chance of having at least a $5k prize is very, very slim. I think we should probably look beyond cash prizes, and accept the fact that the top tier teams that left are probably not coming back.

Instead of using cash as an incentive, they should concentrate on trying to make an LAN tourney.

perhaps a world championship series. With each scene (NA, EU, Etc) having a qualifiers, and then the winners going onto the world championship finals, which is held as a LAN party in some central location. The cash prizes would help with travel costs im sure.

Had barely one online tournament with some minimal amount of money on it, and you want to just straight out make a lan tournament with a huge reward?
You're all being very delusional. It takes a lot of money to make a lan tour worth travelling to, and still, half of the "top" community is underage.
How can you even consider this without sponsors.

Well, if the travel costs aren't already covered, I doubt anyone would even agree to the LAN party. Additionally, if the travel costs aren't covered, we're talking about a bigger cash prize, which will be harder to get, just to make it worth coming. We were talking about a $5k prize, what you're talking about would have to at least be $50k to be worth it.
