New MP faction: Bandits/outlaws; Brigands

It occurred to me when i replied in this thread http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,109307.0/topicseen.html that implementing a bandit/outlaw faction is the most practical way to expand the MP scene (plus new maps and game modes obviously). There is, as i stated in the link above, already a bandit/outlaw faction in SP 'custom battle' game mode. Implementing the bandit/outlaw faction to MP i imagine couldn't be too hard.

Maybe in the future TW could look to bring out a series of MP updates where in they include new maps, weapons, game modes, troop types and faction(s) such as the bandits/outlaws. This bandits/outlaws faction could be officially titled brigands, criminals, crooks, marauders, villains etc etc.

What does everyone think?

Bandits are underpowered compared to faction troops.

I suggested something along these lines in the thread i linked 'They would have weak armour (like the Rhodoks) but in return have fast weapons with long reach, plenty of throwing weapons and higher athletics.'

They don't have to be equipped in the exact same way as bandits and outlaws in SP (being with the lowest tier weapons and armour). They could utilize weapons that are already present in SP but missing in MP. They would essentially be an excuse for more weapons in MP under the guise of a new faction.

Just an idea.

Do you know that all of the so called faction troops in multiplayer are completely different than their single player counter parts? If multiplayer faction troops can be buffed up, so can brigands and bandits. If I remember correctly, forest bandits are quite deadly with their archery skills and long bows. The falchion is also a pretty decent weapon. If the bandits are underpowered, they can be balanced.

Exactly. They wouldn't have to completely reflect bandits and outlaws in SP in terms of being lower tier troops. Forest bandits are, like RaVeN said, pretty deadly. If the Brigands were to be implemented into MP they would be just as balanced as the other factions.

Plus who doesn't want to be a Sea Raider in MP?
