I tried making something like the Indian sword gauntlet, the Pata and this is what it looks like in Wings;


But when I got them ingame they don't show up looking anything like that, but like this;

And that's only how it looks while sheathed, if I draw it I just punch people over a long range, it does NOT appear in my hand. :?

This is how it looks in .brf edit;

How come it doesn't appear in game like I made it? And why doesn't it appear in my hand when I draw it? :? Does anybody have any answers? :(
 
Reimport your model into wings.

Mark the whole weapon.

Right - click ---> and tesselate ---> triangulate.

You must do that with all models you do.

After that export and import to brf again.  :wink:
 
Ah. Thanks. :D It does look better in game now, but I still can't unsheath it. :?


Do you know why I can't? In that pic I did draw it already. :?

Check that everything is allright in the item editor or do you use the module system for that, anyway double check it.
 
Ah, I think I did indeed do something wrong in the module_items, it does turn up properly now, thanks. Ofcourse, it still looks crap.

I had this problem too. I think the reason was that, I had the flag(or something)itcf_show_holster_while_drawn(or something) even if I didn't define a mesh to be used as a scabbard for the weapon.
