Update 11.01.2011 on 84e projekt:

i know the flag is long, but our bearer wanted it so, as i told before :wink:

BTW: i took model of Admirals flag and just changed it a little bit. So thnx Admiral first from me !

*added new blade middle carving smooth.

i dont wanted to let u be with thoose crappy items texture, so now finished texture here:

*as u can see here are random shiny/rough textues on the blade, so its fully reflecting metallic in curves*

As u can see, the ropes on source picture are going to the top of the tent, but it wasnt easy to bridge, or hide them there.

What do the 3d modelers think of it?

Maybe someone can help me with this here: u see the stick and rope without texture? when i try to delete the AUV its saying that its related to the material file. how can i make a new unfold now :> ?

i think its good for a first try, the inner frame is really a pain to make....

the inner house is also looking good, wondering about it after going throught hell for it....

at the moment i dont like the texture on the frame and the plaster, maybe redo them later.

i know its not really good made on some places, i maybe will move on with other program because wings is *****ing on some things i want to do.

made for more perfomance than the officer sword. Also have a little homemade swordknot.

BTW: i know the knot is really small, but its due to that u would see to badly that it isnt a soft body, wich can have the results of gravity.

Ok, here my remake of the french flag for the 84e new flag:

to the model are some changes in lenght of the flag and also its not that lod hungry then the common french flag. Its now only one item and one texture here.

If you are new, don't start to fast with harder objects which would require folds in cloth to look more 'realistic'. You should try some thing like great helms or maybe even make a landscape and if you are used to all controls, than I am sure you would be a pretty epic modeler :grin:.

The tent is pretty nice though :grin: Keep it going.

1. i am just wondering about the edges of the tent, there looking not smoothly enough, will they be better when ingame ?

2. also the texture for tent isnt that there correctly as on my picture made i think.. on wings its looking more gray :I

Add more vertexes by hand, reshape those a little arround the wood and it will look alot more realistic.

I mean the color on the tent that should be as the hard white graphic (left) on the Textures picture.

Must it have a different color in the background i choosed in wings? like blue ? that then the white comes out in the tent ?

Also i am a little confused when i look around the tent, the shadows on it are going different for front, back and middle faces.

is it better if i render it ?

or what ire these crazy shadows about ?

how many polygons are ok for warband(mm) ?

what texture resolution etc. is the last working ?

scince the inner wood cant be shaped anymore, i think this will do it :smile:

i wanted to roll ropes around the wood sticks for the ropes, but this didnt work to unfold.

But what i mean is, that in Wings u see it gray instead of white. But i heard in game it will be the texture as in picture for the faces.

At the moment, i am working on this frame house:

Ohh, I love the house.

The wickerwork texture needs work, though. It is way too detailed and realistic, and the colors are too... "blue." It needs to be simpler, and more brown in order to fit with the rest of M&B's textures.

i think olafson said that it will changed to less details if u implement it to the game, the colours can be changed easily to more brown.

So i think the items didnt look like, how they do ingame in wings. thy white is looking extremly grey in wings as i found out in the topic.

the house is another thing, the inner frame is the most problem of it... horrible work :>
