New factions!

im pretty sure the SkolderBrotva come under sturgia in the encyclopedia. nord section is in there but blank
they probably plan for a nord invasion, since that would fit into the lore of calradia

I wanna see the far east steppe tribes that forced the Kuzhait to unite. A viking invasion of Sturgia sounds nice too and could show how the Nords conquered Sturgia. I would also like to see another faction south of Aserai, possibly resembling Mali or Ethiopia. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but the non-imperial parts of Calradia seems too united for a medieval setting. I was expecting dozens of minor independent factions.

theres a mod that makes every clan its own faction

As I mentioned in the other thread, there are several factions outside of caradia in the lore. Lokti, ballion, geroia... several of the character backstories in warband mention them. Would be cool to see them added to bannerlord as future dlc / expansion content.

According to wiki Sarranids were added in warband but weren't in the base game. So it's possible we could see more factions in the far distant future. Obviously finishing the base game and already planned features will take priority and a year if they stick to their planned timetable.

Carthage themed.

Asian themed.

Viking themed.

All would be awesome. Any new content would be good.

Omg Carthage would be awesome. Add in war elephants trampling troops with huge splash damage i am SOLD.

Hopefully minor factions get fleshed out more as EA progresses.

There is a thread about a black african inspired faction, that would be cool.

Nords would be nice invading Sturgia.

Indian (Hindu) inspired faction south of Kuzaits would be interesting, but they would need elephants.

North African or Ethiopian culture theme would be cool and work well within the timespan of the cultures the game is representing so far. Mediterranean cultures had a huge amount of interaction and mercenaries from N Africa and the Upper Nile were widely seen in Spain, Italy, Anatolia, and further into the middle east around the remaining Abbasid and later Seljuq territories.

I have been playing a lot of Three Kingdoms Total War and having some cultures from around China would be fascinating but I actually would rather TW do that as a full DLC culture pack or something rather than a single random faction that might blend several cultures which would feel a bit weird.

Western Chalukya Empire would be the reference point for India in this period I think and would be rather interesting for TW to try. I don't think I have seen any representation of an original Indian dynasty in any games.

Taleworlds doesn't really do the dlc pack thing though. They tend to do more stand-alone expansion type releases. Example fire and sword and warband. Not counting viking conquest and the other spinoffs which don't even think were made by tw? There are other factions in the lore that could be expanded upon. They are across the sea however on another continent presumably

Well- TW calls them 'expansions' but to me they have relatively little add-on mechanics so I will say 'culture packs' but either way the point is just adding a single Asian culture would be missing out on a lot of things but adding a blend of cultures with Song crossbowmen, Japanese samurai, Mongolian Lancers, etc feels weird.

1+ Vikings. But please do it right like Viking Conquest, it's painful when my countrymen is being ridiculed.

If you do a expansion, please do the Ottoman Empire set later than vanilla.

You haven't played Viking Conquest then, if you call that dlc which is a completely new game, i would like to see what you expect of them.

mods will add everything most likely, just look at what warband mods did and imagine it scaled to bannerlord's level
