play an old save, then game crashes anyway

This crash is only happening on 1.8.0. The fix for this crash has been applied to the patches after this version. You should not be facing this issue on the latest version of the game.

OK, thank you, but the latest version of the game also has its problems evidenced by my several posts. What is the most stable version of this game that can be finished as the version is to be run? I would rather play a simpler version of the game that works as advertised. Also what happened to Viking Conquest. I tried to play that, and it no longer works, others have noticed this as well.
