New campaign e1.0.11 no snowballing

Archers are OP. Horse archers are totally EZ-mode ridiculous OP.

But the reason they field so many recruits is because they just keep spawning with them. The winner-takes-all nature of battles wherein the loser loses their entire army needs to be fixed.

Maybe instead they could do something where the soldiers that are captured by the winning side are ransomed back to that lord once he is free. This way he comes back with an army, although smaller obviously, and he has to pay for it.
 
I got insane snowballing in 1.1, when western empire decided to declare war 5 factions. Western empire completely wiped out of the map in 3 years.

Luckily, i got a rebellion mod, so cities return to their first owner after a while. Rip castles tho, one of them was mine :xf-cry:
 
Yeah I'm still having snowballing issues it's just a lot slower than it usually is. Western empire, the faction I want to join, is getting their butt kicked and constantly declaring war with everyone at their borders and beyond in every playthrough.
 
Yes, snowballing is fixed, but the new issue is that lords only seem to field recruits 99% of the time. My horse archers are shredding every single Empire army we come across with almost no casualties.

I buffed recruits in my game. I gave them shields and spears. Definitely feels like a step in the right direction. Now they aren't mowed down by archers so easily.
