Neutral Faction ?

Recruit
I'm still playing with vaegirs, I'm getting to 4k renown and can control 200 soldiers,
I've finished the rebellion taking the cause of prince Prince Valdym the Bastard...

And now the later king Yarogleg something has taken a castle and started a new Neutral faction  ...

What are the possibilities of this ?

Never saw this before and there aren't many threads about neutral factions.

---

King Ragnar joined him, the faction of commoners/ex-kings

The Commoners is a faction for some odd reason, yes.  In the previous version of Native Expansion your spymaster would tell you about dark knight lords that belonged to "the commoners".

--

If you finish a rebellion and control all your previous faction's land, do you stop being Kingdom of _____ Rebels, and just become Kingdom of _____?  If that were the case than I assume it's possible that King Yargolek could take a castle and the game would assign him a different faction, since there couldn't be two Kingdom of Vaegris.

But I thought that you are not awarded the title until the Vaegirs are defeated, which includes lone parties. After Yaroglek was defeated, he shouldn't have had any place to spawn if all the lands were taken. And if he had not been defeated, he would still carry the Vaegir name. I'm very lost.

I was playing as Vaegir, I took out the Nords; I don't remember if their king joined any faction;
then I rebelled as Vaegir with "prince bastard", then their king also went "factionless".

While I was fighting the Swadians and Rhodoks both later kings of Nords and Vaegirs took this castle;
I remeber it had little soldiers because the castle was being besieged time after time.

Right now I wasted the "Rhodoks" ... now I'll wait to see if their king will also join the Commoner faction ... LOL!

Lol, you just double posted again.

That's the thing man, when a faction is defeated, their king disappears. They don't join other factions like lords do. That's what is so strange about this.

I had that error too, what happened was:
- I had the king in my prison.
- The rebellion won and takes over the original faction.
- The king was released (still part of the faction).
- The king was given a fief (city in my case) that wasn't allocated yet.
- The king left the faction, joined the neutrals and left the map.
- His fief also left the faction, joined the neutrals though it didn't leave the map.

The bug seems to happen when the former king is released from prison while there is a free fief - because he has high renown and no fiefs he has a near 100% chance of getting it.

The strange thing is that with me,
-neither of the kings left the map
-the rebellion was over months ago (in-game time)
-the fief wasn't even Vaegir, I think it was Swadian  :?
-and why the hell Ragnar joined him ?

Maybe all the wasted kings become Commoners faction.

Too bad that when I Talk to Yaroglek there is no joinning option  :|
I want to join the commoners LOL!

wait ... I may be wrong but ...

I remember fighting Ragnar again after I wasted the Nords, almost certain ...
I think he joined another faction  :|

Actually yes, the kings should all join the commoners faction.
But they also should leave the map, never to return. They also leave the list of characters.

Should a former king join another faction it's either a bug or part of a mod.

Interesting indeed.

Though not directly related, something strange happened to me after I successfully helped Lord Kastor claim the throne of Rhodoks. His name Is still Lord Kastor of Veluca (spelling?) even though he is the king. And King Graveth became his vassal and he is still called King Graveth. Is this a bug?

No bug, the "King" is part of the name and the name does not change.

It happened to me when I helped all the claimers to claim their throne  and all the kings formed a a new faction. The Commoners...leaded by King Harlaus (marshal King Yaroglek).

I'm in the same situation...

is there any way out?
