Netherlands Forum?

There aren't really that many people who speak Dutch here. HighelfWarrior, me, Eisenhouwer and I believe that's it.

There's a german forum, and a scandinavian forum, In terms of language, you guys are bang in the centre of those two. WHat's there to complain about? I've studied german, and from my german knowlege, I can read a decent amount of dutch.

As with the numerous other requests for a language specific forum, it will happen if there are enough members who want one (and can speak the language).  As it stands, however, there doesn't seem to be a need for a dutch board.

Yeah, but what Ingolifs said, I can read a fair amount. If you can read English you can read a fair amount of German (or at least guess it). Same rule applies.

The point with dutch is, it shares many cognates with both English and German. If you're clever about it, you can see through the vowel and consonant changes and just piece it together. You just have to ignore the j's, because they serve no other purpose than to make the word look exotic.

Just wanted to say, he spelled netherlands right on the title, but not in his post. That was one of the main reasons i posted. Because if you know how to spell something, spell it right.

Turns out there's quite a few people speaking Dutch after all. Servitor and Bascavia10 too if I'm correct, and I'm sure the Germans would be able to read most of it.

It's hard to tell. There could be lots of dutch speakers who don't speak enough English to post in the main forums but would use a dutch forum.

Nearly all Dutch people speak English.. Anyway, I don't really care for a Benelux/Dutch forum.

Like Dutch is the same like Scandinavian languages and German. It the same family of languages but that is about it. I can't read Danish/Swedish or German!

I believe a bunch of 5 Romanians had done the same thing and 2 of them were banned thereafter.

The Romanian board thread had only two people there talking about it. One of those people posted about piracy shortly thereafter, was banned, came back on another account and the same IP, and was then IP blocked. A bit later we also found out the second guy was a duplicate account of someone else who had been banned previously so we banned the duplicate account.

I'm 14/15 and my english isn't bad, it's good to learn some other languages
