I am finished but am withholding the chapter until I have the pictures for it ready. I might get it done tonight or I might wake up early to do it then, I dunno. Either way we are looking at full launch of... about 3800 words in 4-8 hours. Fear not, I shall add to that total by making a brief summary of everything for those of you disinclined toward, well, 3800 words.

Edit: Uploading pics and writing summary now...

Edit Edit: My computer wants to sleep, it's had a rough and awesome day, so I'll finish up after I wake up in like 6-8 hours. Sorry for the delay but I promise it's worth it. I'ma blow yer minds.

We spent yesterday in leisure, following an ever-dwindling army around and knowing we were too few to really do anything now and that the campaign would soon be called off, her Heiness having assured the success of its primary goal early on.

Today, however, the morning started with Knights of the Eventide on the horizon. Our fearless booty quickly assembled us on a steep hill where we shredded them with bolts, arrows and one wicked glaive wielded by a madwoman. She killed no less than 10 of the enemy, 6 of them being Knights. Whatever misgivings I have about her stability are made up for by her prowess and strategic brilliance.

I begin to wonder if my liege's madness is not part of some greater power I cannot comprehend... We spent a day resting and then suddenly were flung into a mad tizzy to kill some mere looters in the area of Avendor. Why did she seek out and accept such a pointless mission so soon after spearheading the town's salvation? I began to have my doubts but they were pushed aside when, after destroying 4 of the groups in the area, we again suddenly found ourselves luxuriating in the Avendor arena stands but this time to see our captain fight through the tournament being held there. Though there were certainly some tight spots along the way we all found ourselves on our feet roaring encouragement when, for the final face-off, our lady - again almost unrecognizable since she was clothed - entered the ring, a bow in her hand. She was reasonably good with it and could possibly annihilate whatever enemy faced her with relative ease.

Her weakness was horses, however, either on them or facing them. The few times she had been given a mount to start a round she had quickly dismounted and let the horse run free. The two times she had come face to face with a charging enemy she screamed in frustration for her mighty glaive and lightly leapt to one side, always connecting with a strike to man or beast. Then she'd chase the horseman and repeatedly leap upward to bring her weapon crashing down on his or her head.

This final matchup, however, was much anticipated because it would be the much discussed naked wild woman up against a well-known maiden adventurer; two women in the final spots, the men folk would have been pissed if they weren't Fierdsvain. Our cheering for our captain suddenly became jeering for her opponent since we could not help but laugh at the impossibility of her situation when the adventurer strode into the ring with a two-handed sword. Our cat-calls, however, were immediately silence when her Heiness spun and fired an arrow into our midst. She roared an angry war cry and notched another arrow. We silenced ourselves as she turned back toward her opponent. The adventurer seemed to be about to nod her thanks but our Lady of Infinite Insanity screamed a war cry at her too, spread her arms wide as if to invite attack.

The maiden screamed back and menaced with her large sword. The two women whipped each other into a frenzy and the women in the crowd began to bellow too. Soon the entire place was on its feet, screaming at the top of its lungs. How the women heard the signal to start , I don't know but as soon as it began it was half over. The maiden charged with her great sword and her Heiness immediately lost all savagery and calmly shot her opponent in the head. The maiden reeled from the blow but then came on again, was shot in the head again. She fell over backwards and if it was possible the crowd got louder.

With her surprising winnings collected, her Heiness strode from the arena and lead us once again back out into the countryside. I was happy to see that she had some serious coin now and that we would not go without pay or food anytime soon, a fear that had come up twice already since she had a tendency to spend all of her newly-acquired funds on single items. First the bow she now carried, then the fast axe she kept always close.

I was a little disappointed that we were back to chasing looters but it was entertaining to see her take on the small bands by herself, refusing to let us join in. She quickly took down two more groups while we watched and then quick as a wink we were back in Avendor and she was speaking to the local guild chief. 500 more denars fell into her hands and my brief feeling of security surged a touch but then fell entirely once again: she headed straight to an armor shop with every coin she had. Moments later she emerged looking pleased as punch at the intimidating new helm she had just blown twenty three thousand denars on and which she could not afford just prior to turning in the heads of the last two looter bands.

How did she do it? Was it coincidence? One day she is poor - although we have numerous high-value prisoners awaiting liquidation - the next she is hunting looters for no apparent purpose, then in a tournament that she wins, then hunting looters again, and the next thing you know she has almost exactly enough money to waste it all on what I have to admit is a pretty cool looking helmet but still only a mere helmet. What the hell?

Well, it seems that on the morning of the 28th our liege had had enough screwing around and wanted to put her new helmet to use in D'Shar lands. We headed to the nearest outcropping of their territory, Shadi Shahid, and found the castle to be under siege by a single Empire lord. This seemed strange and a little looking about found why he was alone: he was either an idiot or coward. Just to the east three separate battles raged with D'Shar forces against the rest of the besieging Empire forces. We happily jumped right in first one battle and then the next and the next after that and I have to say I was delighted to see that we had a much more forward role than during the battle to break the siege of Avendor a mere... 8 days ago. Right up in the thick of it, she used her long glaive to whip the tops off of several D'Shar heads, heads owned by much more heavily armored and skilled bodies. With her speed and terrific range she downed many a horse and man, enjoying the friendly attention of the Empire lords, practically making friends with Marius Imperator himself and at least making a good impression on many others.

2011102100042.jpg

2011102100044.jpg

2011102100045.jpg

We were, however, disappointed to see the entire Empire force break off the siege and scatter after the battle. Sensing opportunity, we hustled quickly down to Sher Quila that was besieged by our very own Fierdsvain compatriots. Her Heiness seemed angry that she had not be invited to the party. That anger seems to have made her the single most dangerous person in the siege... With 26 kills, she exhibited ever-increasing skill with her bow as she cleverly used the siege tower as cover, popping first out one side then the other, surprising enemy archers many times more experienced than her. Unfortunately, I was struck by a wicked D'Shar arrow and had to leave the battle but of her exploits there were plenty willing to tell the tales afterward.

It seems that twice during the battles inside the castle itself she distinguished herself again as an archer by finding a way to break through an enemy choke point. The first time was at a narrow doorway where strong D'Shar fighters held back the Green Horde in the narrow space. I am told that all present were surprised to see her leap atop the crenellations along the outer wall then jump from one to the next until, over the shoulders of the men fighting at the doorway, she found an angle on the enemy within. Jarl Eydis Fairhair, one of the men battling to get in - and certainly one of her Heiness' most eager supporters among the Fierdsvain - repeated again and again, laughing, in the brief celebration afterwards how, as he looked for an opening to break through he saw the enemy before him raise his weapon to strike but his eyes suddenly widened and a red and black shaft slammed into his chest, stumbling him backwards. Fairhair went on to say that after he exploited the opening he was startled by two more of the arrows lancing through the doorway and into men before him. Once he had a brief moment he said that he shot an angry glace backwards to see what irresponsible archer was firing past his head and was just as shocked as the man he had slain to see a naked woman with a bow crouching on the outer wall, a place no man in armor would ever have dared climb up to!

After that she joined the tide surging inside, climbed the tower, and fired a single arrow into the D'Shar attempting to block a stairway. The man stumbled from the hit and was immediately killed by Fairhair and the others pushing on, overrunning the rest of the garrison with ease. We enjoyed an hour of celebrating and socializing wherein my liege made sure to chat with every lord present like an oddly cultured naked person. That was the morning of the 29th.

The afternoon of the 29th was spent annihilating first Amin Jan Khan's 23-man party and the handful of villagers that valiantly came to his defense and then a rabble of 35 led by 5 Knights of the Eventide. The late afternoon was spent watching our prisoners and waiting for her Heiness to return from her attempt to sneak into Singal. When finally she did return it was with one Sir Jocelyn, a very capable-seeming man. The fact that a lunatic woman had just snuck into the home city of the Order of the Eventide must have worked out quite well for Sir Jocelyn since he was freshly on the run from them for desertion and in need of shelter. Unfortunately, the horse he sold to pay his way and then re-purchased upon being recruited quickly made her Heiness exactly as irate as any horse ever does - so it was again sold back.

We are now back in Branburg waiting for its latest project to be finished. I suspect, however, we shall soon be moving and back again just in time to get the peasants working on something new. The problem is that I'm more than beginning to get tired of the oaf Frederick and that harpy Boadice. I have all but decided to leave the company.

I awoke this morning in Windholm and decided it was time for me to leave, my liege would just have to do without my healing skills. I packed up, prepared myself to refuse any and all attempts to make me stay, and found out that both of my most detested companions had been sent on their way, fired from the troop, at least one of which never to return.

I couldn't believe my ears or eyes and still don't. I was so firm in my decision to leave that this surprise is not fully registering. I'm not sure what precisely I shall do.

We received word of an Empire siege at Tuldar Fortress and hurried to join in. We arrived towards the end of the battle and yet my captain still managed to take 37 lives, almost all with her bow again. Immediately after schmoozing with the Empire lords present we bolted back over to Shadi Shahid and arrived just in time to join the battle taking place there. We had passed the Fierdsvain siege on the way to Tuldar Fortress and were pursued on our way back. Again my liege and her bow proved invaluable as she took charge of the archer corps there and lead them through the fortress hunting the enemy's own missile troops. She ended 22 lives including the last man of the garrison who was hiding in a tower and emerged only to take two arrows from her Heiness.

Today we find ourselves at Branburg again. The populace surely do love their lord though she has yet to do something permanent about the fact that their cows keep getting stolen. This is the third time in two weeks they have needed replacements.

We hurried here with all possible haste thanks to an urgent message from the steward. When we arrived it was revealed that a Snake Cult spy was close by and had been inquiring about the village. Her Heiness immediately put a 500 denar bounty on the spy's head - which soon rolled. But the episode was not yet over as the spy's handler and some low-lives she had hired were seen fleeing the area. We immediately engaged them and my liege, severely injured though she was, refused help in defeating them - which was just as well because watching her tear the foul creature apart with that glaive of hers and then stick the remaining enemies full of arrows was fine entertainment for us all.

Boadice has returned though without Frederick as well I think she will be tolerable. With her came a stranger named Leslie who apparently was only hired temporarily to help train the steward of Branburg in trade. She seems like she could be quite useful to us but her Heiness is adamant that she will not be staying.

Nothing quite like waking up in an extremely friendly village, leaving its blessed confines, and then marching over to a horrible wreck of a village to save it from the bandits that made it that way. I'm not sure if I feel like I'm doing good in the world or feel like I hate to be rousted out of some welcome rest. I'm sure the Foxstead peasants were more in need of their homes back than I was in getting off my feet for a bit but still...

Ansen, buddy, is that a stuffed bra and unicorn you are wearing? I make no judgments, my friend.
2011102100137.jpg

After that diversion we had breakfast. After that we set out on a curious quest that required a map apparently bought from a traveler in Avendor. When we arrived at the location specified there certainly seemed to be a cave of some interest there but after scouting it my liege decided that we should rest up fully in nearby Knudarr Castle before attempting it which is where we are now.

We spent much of today at rest which, strangely enough, seemed to chafe. Our party shines when there is blood to be spilt, castle garrisons to break down and yet we have seen days of little adventure and minor errands.

Apparently her Heiness thought the same and, as we were preparing to turn in for a restless night, she came thundering down the wooden stairs from the battlements and bellowed for us to muster in the courtyard immediately - there was a weakened D'Shar lord approaching from the southeast and whether he wanted it or not, he was getting a fight tonight!

We hurried out to meet him and he even turned to attack us, confident in his slightly superior numbers. We lined up across a small river from him with the archers on the highest ground. Sure enough, the fool charged his horses in first and we cut them to ribbons as they slowly emerged from the water, our liege-lord's bow again inflicting significant casualties. After the first waves she joined the melee with her glaive and cut down several more, even running across the river to take on the last two men personally.

Our victory was glorious and well-earned! For the first time we had taken on an enemy lord with superior numbers and come out clearly triumphant! We were mightily bolstered by our win and didn't really mind that the minor injuries our leader received ensured that we'd be in Knudarr for another day at least.

A horrific noise startled me from my sleep early this morning. I cannot place what it was as it was gone by the time I was fully awake but my memory of it was of something like a cat being set on fire. It is perhaps just as well that I woke up when I did because we were on the move again, rushing up into Ravenstern lands for what I cannot possibly imagine.

August 9th, 354
Journal of Ansen Almost-Monk

After wandering in the Ravenstern wilderness for two days completely without event her Heiness suddenly stopped cold, fell to the ground grasping her head and stared skyward, her mouth open in a soundless scream and her face a rictus of pain and fear. We all thought she'd been struck by an archer in hiding and ran to defensive positions but such was not the case. Instead, after a few seconds that seemed like much longer than that she leapt to her feet her bow in hand - except that her bow was still slung across her back and this one was a strange red color. None of us could make out where she got it from and asked her, thinking that perhaps she had pulled it out of the snow. She smiled and said that it was a god, held the bow up for us to see as if her nonsensical statement was self-evident. All of us knowing that she is crazy did not question her further.

Our mysterious business in Ravenstern seemingly completed by this strange incident, we headed south again to once again fetch some cows for Branburg and see to new construction. Leslie has fulfilled her training role and left while we make ready to head down into D'Shar lands to cause some trouble. We have heard that one of their cities is under siege and are eager to join the fight.

We arrived too late to join in any battle if there was one but not too late for our lunatic leader to slip inside and come out more than 8,000 denars richer for having sold all the loot from that hideout we stormed on the way here, the one near Knudarr Castle we had nearly attacked almost a week ago. On our way back north we were pursued by a traitor ex-Empire lord but evaded him easily enough.

2011102100181.jpg

2011102100182.jpg

Almost as soon as we set foot in Fierdsvain land Branburg was again squalling for help. There had been yet another fire and for the 5th time their cattle had been stolen. We assisted and afterwards found ourselves summoned by the marshal. Spirits rose immediately for war and we were afoot! However, we hadn't gone more than a few dozen miles when we received word that some ridiculous D'Shar was attempting to take out his greivence against our lord on Branburg - biggest mistake he ever made. in addition to the 67 of us, 64 villagers stormed out to join the battle against his mere 45 - of which her Heiness killed half.

I took a wound in the battle and found myself under the care of Adonja, a delightful breath of fresh air. I've decided to stay as long as she does.

We apparently ruined the entire point of the marshal summoning the army by, with the help of about 50 peasants defending their homes, destroying the 54-man D'Shar force menacing Yule. We met up with the marshal on his way there, informed him of our victory, and after a few miles he decided to call off the whole thing.

However, we had heard that Ishkoman was again under siege by the Empire and journeyed down there to see what use we could be. Unfortunately, by the time we got there the D'Shar army had arrived. We were able to successfully help one Empire lord in a battle but then the entire thing became too big. Not fond of lost causes, we retreated.

We spent the next few days following various friendly lords around looking for a fight but then retired back up north and just in time: Branburg was under attack by a significantly larger force. Again the peasants came out and even more this time but an innovative plan was needed to keep us from being slaughtered by their superior forces. That plan was immediately seized upon by our leader and put into action: All peasants and infantry were to group up as much as possible and wait just around a corner of a building where there was a break in the fence. The archers and our Lady of the Deadly Red Bow would then lay shots into the enemy as they bottlenecked near the building, unable to shoot through their own troop at us.

It worked perfectly. 129 D'Shar warriors came to Branburg looking for an easy raid; 54 of them died with my liege's arrows in them; the rest we killed with grim determination, capturing their foolish lord. And when it was over, our reward was one we were familiar with: Get the village some freaking cows.

Fought several battles (12ish?) using primarily the bow (now the ruby runed god-bow) that brought the archery proficiency from 168 to 316 and Nekked's level from 15 to 24 (105,073 more xp) with her kills going from 175 to 586 (411 more) and maimings from 431 to 639 (208 more); I am unclear how she is wounding with arrows and a glaive, however. I made so much progress because I am unhindered by any qualms regarding reloading to get a reasonable number of kills if I got taken out by something stupid early on - like my own stupidity or a random a-hole/arrow.

Rocking the Ruby Runed bow along with a Fine Cross Hilt Sword for close encounters that require more speed than the glaive can give (113 vs 75). A masterwork long compound bow is in the inventory because I didn't have the heart to sell it after spending only god knows how much on it... Extra arrows in the inventory also for refills on the battlefield though I've never managed to need them or when I do I can't access them (2nd battle of Branburg, offensive sieges though in both cases I left the Cross Hilt and took and extra quiver).

A bunch of captured lords were ransomed and a few more captured.

Messed with the companions, we now have Ansen, Kassim, Julia, Donavan, Adonja, Ediz, Sara, Riva, and Jocelyn. See the Author's Notes for more info.

We have a qualis gem! Hitting that RB hideout was pretty fun and a lot easier than everyone made it sound. It's so open and there are two high ridges that can be used to get to and from the chest! My suggestion would be to spend the gem on finding the mines so we can get a runed glaive sooner rather than later but I have no power to enforce that suggestion.

I started repairs on Skilled Craftsmen in Branburg so that the other stuff will slowly repair itself. I didn't build anything new but repaired two other things though I don't remember what they were.

Glaive duel fail: I almost peed myself laughing at this guy jittering at me as he feinted so fast and often that at first I couldn't comprehend what was happening. His only option is to stab so there he is, spazzing away at me switching from one attack (stab) to another (also stab) while I just hold block for stab and try to regain my composure. Eventually I just chopped his head off.

Character or save notes:See Summary above and Author's Notes below. NEW RULE: ALL DRUNKEN BAR FIGHTS MUST BE DONE WITH THE WOODEN STICK LEFT IN THE INVENTORY.
Author's Notes:
- The companion build I decided upon was based purely on compatibility with the companions I found when I took over the character: Ansen, Fred, Donavan, Julia, Ediz, Kassim, and Sir Rayne.

From the stickied Strategy Guide:
"Maximum Companion Count option #2
Adonja-Donavan-Kassim-Ediz-Riva-Sara-Roland-Jocelyn
You can add ANY combination of the inner circle to this build.ie, Boadice+Ansen, Frederick+Sir Rayne, Ansen+Sir Rayne etc.
Key Points to Option #2
-Do not raid villages, steal from peasants or rob merchants, otherwise Jocelyn and Roland are upset.
-Do not run from battles,or Donavan,Ediz,Sara are upset.
-Do not fail to feed or pay the men,do not get slaughtered or Adonja,Kassim,Riva are upset."

I went with Ansen and Boadice because he's a medic and she kicks more ass than Rayne. Unfortunately this decision results in 3 of 7 companions being dismissed (looted first though) and also doubled the number of people in the party that the invaluable Ansen didn't like. Fred is stripped and gone and Boadice is not currently in the party because though Adonja was, Ansen had not yet noticed that he liked her so Boadice had to go - again.

- Thanks to some good luck and no small amount of skill, by my third day with Nekked she had leveled up twice.

She leveled up again during the battles near Shadi Shahid and AGAIN in the siege of Sher Quila.. 10 days, 4 level-ups, beat that!

Edit: 13 days, 5 levels!

Edit Edit: 16 days, 6 levels! (Battle for Shadi Shahid)

OMFG: 22 days, 7 levels. (Red Brotherhood hideout)

O.O 25 days, 8 levels... I'm going for 9 but starting to scare myself... (Defense of Yule)

 29 days, 9 levels. I rule ALL!! I AM A SHINY GOD!! SHINY, I TELL YOU!! We came out of the last battle at Branburg short 717 xp for level 9 and I was determined to find a way to make it happen. We got more cows for the village for +400 and then, hoping beyond hope for an ambush, I went to Avendor in the middle of the night at was attacked by 3 pissants for 33 xp each. At the end of that battle another 351 xp was gained from I know not where precisely but it put Nekked over the mark and into level 24!

I'm going to have to abdicate my turn. I'm swamped in coursework due to my procrastination, and I'm not going to be able to spare a minute for this. Apologies.

Allright, Got it and will get to work on it. Haven't kept up with the thread but will play and will atleast have some writing done this time.

At first I was like  then I was like  cause at the rate this is going I'll be playing again in like 2 days!

Edit: I just reread everything from chapter 8.1 to here and I gotta say, I kicked some ass on my section. I'm a teensy bit underwhelmed, however, that so far the only feedback I've gotten on my extensive work was some bs about divergent playing styles. I know I'm being impatient since I only posted the chapter yesterday (26 hours ago) but with the... 269 views since I posted 8.2 I guess I was kinda hoping for SOMETHING...

There's no way that I could play tomorrow(again crazy Monday), so I hope you don't mind if I would have time to some late hours of Tuesday... well, I don't know where are you from guys, but my time zone is CEST...

Two people already don't have time at all this round so if you have a bit available why don't you just post here when you start, play and write until you get to a good stopping point and are satisfied, then end your turn? No more than 48 hours after you start playing though.

I don't see the point in rushing you when we've already lost some diversity in the story as is with Lok and Panda out.

Edit: if either Lok or Panda want to just delay their turns like I'm allowing for HUtH, speak up before he starts and I'll cut you the same deal: start as soon as you can (sometime in then next 2 days), have some fun, make some progress, write a little about it and call it good. Panda gets first priority.

I'd rather you guys get a turn - so long as you can take it reasonably soon - than push on and end up back at me by week's end.

So you say that I have more time? I've just finished playing after about 10 days in-game(yeah, not to much spare time), but if I could play tomorrow(actually, already today...), it'd be nice
However I'm uploading save here, so if someone want to play, get it and post that you play, so I'd know not to play further... but if noone do that, then I'll post when I start playing, ok?

EDIT: summary of my turn.

Yeah give it a little more so you feel like you've gotten something done and have something to write and then post up.

Day 157

astart3.jpg

As I awoke in Avendor, I couldn't believe how good I felt. "Its gonna be a great new day", I thought to my self. Suprisingly, the tavern was empty save for a plate of steaming hot Fresh Chicken and a basket of fruit. "Eat up" howled the tavern keeper. Under the plate I found the scratched out tab from the night before. It seems that I over did it.
"Ansen!!" I barked. He is never too far. Always at my boot heels, usually with a childish grin on his face. Out of the shadow of the furthest corner, Ansen drug himself into my sight. "Yes my Lady"? "Get the troops ready to pull out and pay the bar tab". Suprisingly, when I got to the gate, the company was ready to march across the plains once again.
We had been under way for no less than an hour when a messanger came charging to our party. "My Lady, Branburg is under attack"!! Straight away we headed out to defend our meager village. The Dshar have their heart set on killing my villagers. As we moved closer, we found the Town Militia  gathered just north of the village. "Lets get'em Boys", I yelled out, not even breaking stride. It was a great battle, I feel the need to defend my hay bales with passion and death. Even when the losses can be great. We lost alot of good men that day but rescued some new ones.
mb14.jpg

After the battle at Branburg, we headed toward Valonbray in search of this nasty Vanskerry raiding party that had been bothering the caravans. When all of a sudden we are attacked by a crazed Adventure company. Quickly dispatching them, We rode in further search of the pesky bandits and came across a massive moving circus of vanskerrys.
Ansen fainted. After some shaking and smacks to the head he came too. With a heavy stutter, he explained that this group of Vanskerrys bore the markings of the bandit party we are to decimate for Jorn the Axe. "There is no way in Hell". So we continued on to Valonbray to have a word with this Jerky. With a simple plea, a farmer from the village of Quay enlisted us to rid them of a bandit party.

Ansens mousy voice chimed up,"Isn't it funny, we havn't seen any of our faction brothers on the road". I did think it was strange now that he mentioned it. Another messenger, approaches with the news, Our village is being raided by the Dshar again and we are now at war with Sarleon.
After fast-tracking it back to Branburg, we find the mess that the messanger forgot to tell us. Multiple Dshar lords raiding our poor village. "Those villagers eat your salt my Queenie" said Kassim. My heart was sunk, because I knew he was right. So I flipped the strap on by briefs and rounded up the crew for the bad news. "Some of you are not gonna make it through this, leave now no hard feelings".
To my suprise no one left. It was a bloody battle and everyone in our party was either killed or wounded down to the last 3 men. It made some of my closest friends very upset. I explained that it was the duty of my men to die for me and my cause. "Well, we have a whole new group of soldiers now, Start training them". The prisoners we freed replaced all the fallen from the battle.

first16.jpg
first17.jpg

After that village fiasco, We headed out to do something productive, when "Hello, your village is being raided again". Again the Dshar are terrorizing my tiny village. Why are they so mad at me? I havn't a clue but off again to save our village.
During our short visit to Javiksholm between raids on our village, I ran into some old friends. Freddie begged me to take him back and Leslie, poor Leslie, she was standing by the fire trying to keep from shivering. Her southern blood just couldn't handle the cooler northern climate. "I don't remember taking your clothing, really what do I need it for"? I must have been drunk because Freddie and Sir Rane are both naked too. It's beyond me as to why we threw our friends, naked, into the gutter, especially when Ediz is so fond of Sir Rayne. Its almost like I have a darker personality.
"Really? Another messanger?" This time it was Sarleon doing the raiding. Back to Branburg.

mb52.jpg

mb69.jpg

When we got the second message that Sarleon was raiding the village, there was nothing we could do. "We can rebuild," I muttered to Ansen who was endlessly writing in that blasted journal of his. His true purpose is to be there for me when I need someone to kick. Almost like a helpless dog. None the less, he is my first mate.
As quick as the raid began, it ended with a peace treaty. No longer at war with Sarleon, I decided on a trip to their capitol city. My thoughts were correct, it was feast time. A feast means a tourney, or in this case, many tourneys. After four wins I gathered the party up to go take care of business. We had fun, partying the tourney winnings away into the late hours in the taverns.
During our rabblerousing, we got a map to the Red Brotherhood hideout. Also during our venture I won a couple more tourneys and ran into Lord Dion who assured me he had the best Special Sage in the land. He was right, thats 2 more days I can't remember. I think we saved a village, at least thats what it said in Ansen's journal. I also found out we raided King Ulric's caravan.

Then something we all expected, a message that Branburg was being raided again. Hotfooting it, we found the whole Dshar army commencing bloody havoc on our tiny village. Finally, the marshal and his possie decided to help. It was a major clash of the 2 factions and we lost all of our troops again. Its a good thing we out numbered them 2 to 1. My companions were not happy with me. We only captured 1 Dshar lord too.
We stopped at our saved village and found some willing bodies to fill the void left by all the deaths of the last battle.

I decided to take the crew on a vacation. After that last battle, we all needed a break. "Onward, to the east" I commanded our merry little band of wanna-be warriors. Ethos, Cez, Janos. We took the "Royal Tour" route, stopping at the taverns and partying hard during our recovery. We ran into that De Didget fellow who gave us a potion to help speed our healing.
By the time we got to Cez, I was healed enough to wash the caked, dried blood from my wounds before I spent the evening with master Quint. The next morning we started the day long trip to Janos. Arriving after midnight, I was jumped by 4 unfortunate outlaws. Instead of stopping we pressed on to Sarleon, where I decided to gain the other 50% health back before attempting to find that hide out.

mb23.jpg
first27.jpg
first28.jpg

As we started our journey to the hideout, You guessed it- The Dshar is yet again raiding Branburg. This time however, there is a Lord of the realm in the area to handle it.

We found the hidden trail as depicted on the map from Greyden. It led us to a wooded clearing where we took the Red scumbags completely off guard. "Stick together", I barked quietly to my most trusted friends as we assulted the land-pirates camp. We worked our way through the ranks(Ansen was taking notes), and killed the lot of them. After we grabbed all the loot we could carry, we headed back towards our village. Passing by, all was Quiet at Branburg, so I decided to make a northern run.

After leaving Senderfal We get the message, Dshar is raiding Branburg. We continued on through poinsbrook and headed for Branburg. Too late for the village. "There was nothing we could do. Now lets bury the dead and exact some Revenge on Farhad Kahn!!" Who is presently in our costody for the fourth time in 30 days.

One last trip to Javiksholm for flax and back to Avendor to take advantage of thier unusual need for the material and ....

Ah yes, I took quest from the guild master in Valonbray and he just led me into that BIG problem...

 OMFG ROFL VANSKERRY ARMY!!

Whew... that was good. I think I woke somebody up though...

I think that guild master in Valonbray is trying to get us killed.

And 125-man raiding party... *nodding* I know how rough that can be... My last battle was 1 lord of 129 men raiding Branburg and I wish I had taken more screenies during the battle...

I know, right?! I should ahve posted the pic I took of Nekked standing face to face with Andonja.

You have now beed added to the list. I'll PM you when your turn comes around and post it in the thread title.

Edit: Well, there seems to be some sort of error with the OP. I tried to add the new chapters and all and it said that the text box was left empty. I cut out the How To section and it worked just fine so it seems I may have exceeded the character limit on the OP already! Here's the How-To's:

Downloading and placing a save file: click the link, download the file to some place you can find or directly to your PoP 3.42 savegames. Mine is here: C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Mount&Blade Warband Savegames\Prophesy of Pendor 3.42.

To upload a save: Saves are named based on where they are positioned in the load game screen. 00 is top left and it proceeds left to right, top to bottom numbering 01, 02 and so on. When you save the game remember what position it was in to find the right save. Navigate back to your savegames folder and upload the correct file. Use whatever file sharing service makes you happy. I use MegaUpload.

To take screenshots: If you have Steam find out what the 'take screenshot' button is (F12 by default I believe) and when you shut your game down after having taken a screenshot or two a window will pop up to show them. Click "show on disk" along bottom row. I suggest making a shortcut to the randomly named folder you find so you can get to it again easily.  If you don't have Steam use CTL + Insert or Printscreen or whatever works for you.

To Post Screenshots: Upload the images to an image sharing site of your choice. I use ImageShack but they are weird sometimes so do what you want. With ImageShack at least you have to have a profile to get the link you need so go ahead and do that. I used an email address I don't ever check and made 5 minutes earlier. Once you have uploaded the screenies, find the "direct link" and copy that. Then, here on the forum, find the little picture up on the tool bar and place your direct link between the [img.] and [./img] but without the periods. next, highlight all of that and press the "spoiler" button also on the tool bar. You can spoiler multiple things together.

sounds great ogrecorps. glad to be on board! i hope my writing style may someday be as good as you fellows.
