Eh, excuse me, respectable gentlemen(), but unfortunatelly I didn't have enough long time on computer to start playing(I though that I would have, but things happen), so AxeMaster can play Lokloklok's savegame(unless he is around, because now I could play for a while - I'm playing now for short time, til Axemaster presence)
Edit: I've played a bit, here's savegame: http://www.2shared.com/file/-k5Q4I0T/sg02.html I'll write something in the moment. Written. Long moment it was....
Ravenstern. Separated from warm realms of Pendor by an inland sea and plains of blood thirsty Jatu. Closed from the north by impenetrable, sky touching mountains that swarm with ferocious barbarians. Life in this cold, snow-covered land is tough even for plants. Things that brings relief to tired folk are warm beams of sun at midday that sparkle on the snow and mulled beer in tavern's hot atmosphere. Tavern is a home from home, here all gather with their life's concerns and joys.
And once Ravenstern's taverns were visited by an extraordinary person. A naked woman with face covered by steel plate and arsenal of death carrying on her back. A quick look on her freezes heated men's hearts. But there was an old soldier in Poinsbruk, who witnessed worse views in his life and quickly realised that the woman brings to him another opportunity to earn and do other things than drinking amid drunken before him mob.
Men's hearts get frozen, but there are also women that gladly give up to bustling tavern's clime and are not afraid of few exposed curves decorated with sharp steel. They are enough bold to walk into crowd full of horny men and possibly crazy to stay inside among them. And it happened in Rane, three brave women was staying there in tavern, driving off barnacles and waiting for occasion to break away from there. It was clearly visible that their eyes glittered once the mysterious woman walked in the tavern. Moment later, four ladies was sitting at the table vividly discussing. The talk ended as fast as was started and three women were heading to exit, leaving one who was wearing black robes and glancing at others with her wild, reptilian eyes.
The strange woman proved to be even more extraordinary - while her stays in warm Ravenstern's taverns, she gave ear to miserable peasants' pleadings for saving their villages from brigands. That's no news that all people in the North are suffering from bandits, outlaws, raiders from the mountains and the Jatu - common people's life is always endangered in Ravenstern and mad is one, who thinks that things could be changed. Naked lady seemed to be mad, because she accepted folks' pleas and promised that she would wipe out the scum. Only gods know what did she go by when deciding on this.
Was it a god's blessing for Walden folk that they found that crazy woman or was it a punishment that bandits burnt and killed half of their village? It is not for human erratic mind and imperfect nature to dive into such paradoxes and mysteries of fate. But what mere people of Walden known that day - their lot became better, only because of that unusual woman, she gave them strength to live further, but not without sacrifice by herself.
Crazy challenges almost always end terrible. In Ravenstern always. Even victorious Siege of Rane confirms it - who would count the bodies of brave men that had fallen there, surrounded by barbarians?
Unfortunately for the villagers of Hanun the fearless woman, their only hope, failed.
Laudable idea ended in muddy stream after last bolt fired.
Man's life is full of mistakes and failures, it's not like in bards' tales. It's bitter and tough with death sentence from the beginning. One need a great strength and will to pass it the least harmed.
Senderfall, like whole North, was full of shady people waiting for occasion to make their life better. Every morning city dwellers find another body, often stripped of everything. But that night, after escape from Hanun by the mad woman and her companions, robbers didn't get easy prey. Barely alive but angry, because of her defeat, the woman was a walking Mettenheim volcano. When finally she got into city with the only wish to rest in tavern, she was attacked. It was too much for her - she lost her mind, leaving herself to demon of death. The street was shrouded in darkness deeper than moonless night and only reflections on her axe were giving light on terrified faces of the death's offering.
Tormented by all events that happened her recently, she laid down on stinking bed in tavern's room and was sleeping for two days. But her new companions got bored quickly and oddly thoughts spawned in their minds...
She didn't bother with those stupidities and fell into dreams again.
Text is probably full of language mistakes, sorry, long time has passed since my last written long form in english
Rock, I'm looking forward to seeing your adventures! And after you and Sirkad, I'll get to have my crazy baby back! Hopefully we will also get to see a little something from Lokloklok and HUtH for the 8 days they played. I doubt much could have happened but maybe they'll surprise us.
I updated my post. As you can see and read I didn't think strategically(or even..) and I just took what was available... I was surprised by the crowd in taverns, unfortunately I didn't have enough money to hire Alyssa.
That brigands' volley fire was a big surprise to me also......

I remember when you posted the link for your AAR story when it wasn't even a pendor character. I looked for an instant because I didnt have time at that point to read a novel. To be honest, I never read it. So really I had no idea your character was refered to as the "Battle Queen". I would change it but it seems I desicrated the original. More to come soon.

As for Evangeline: "the first 37 chapters take place in Calradia and the Floris Expanded Mod Pack, not Prophecy of Pendor. However, I decided to migrate the character here and with the permission of the Mods here am now porting Evangeline's entire story over. When all conditions are met I will be continuing Evangeline's story in both threads and in Pendor." Though she is not pendorian I have approximately 7 chapters written of her Pendorian exploits already and eventually she will be all caught up here and those chapters will start coming forth. Unfortunately, I'm afraid it will be a bit late by then as my walls of text and her heritage work against her and leave us both out to dry here in this forum.
Well, the chapters average 2,000 words in length. Though that is huge for a forum, it's tiny peanuts for an actual novel.
However, I have recently embarked on a project to write a hard Sci-fi novel IRL and never would have tried such a thing without my experiences here with my AAR. I guess that means since monnikje inspired me to do the first which then allowed me to do the second I should at least send him a signed copy IF I ever get published...
Day 44.
When I awoke I had a splitting headache. Probably from all the booze I've ingested to numb the pain from all my wounds. I stumbled out of my room still feeling a little dazed, and there was Donavan, my most trusted companion. "You look like hell" he said with a smirk. "Grab your gear" I growled at him, "I need some fresh air".
Once outside the city gates, I stopped to survey my party and goods. Still at half health, come to find out I must have blown Lord Vigdus Bloodswords tax money that I collected for him. I too remembered I have to save someone from a most certain death.
"What the hell are we doing in this frozen wasteland" I snarled at Donavan. He didn't have much to say all the way to Ravenstern. Once inside the gates, we headed straight for the tavern. I needed something to rid me of this blasted headache.
I slammed 3 shots of some holy fire water and soon the fog started to lift. Finally coming out of the daze I was in, I noticed a warrior talking to a peasant. Then the peasant approached my table, "Please miss can you help us"? I agreed and also motioned for the warrior to join us.
After getting the village cleared, we headed out for Javiksholm. On the way we were jumped by some bandits, The leader was some kind of Rogue Knight. Anyway I got a lucky shot in on one fellow and the rest fell no problem. After the battle, Donavan tossed me the leaders helmut "You earned it" He barked. it was indeed a very nice Dark Knight Helm.
In javiksholm we picked up a Fellow by the name of Ansen. We also stopped at the feast, where I was reminded of being a hired mercenary by getting a summons from the marshal shoved at me by some angry squire who rode through the night to find me. Then on the way to Kennett castle, which our marshal currently has under siege, I ran into the Red Hoard. "Will you people leave me alone" I shouted at the leader. "You only live once" I shouted as me and my pathetic warriors started our attack. " Its a good thing you hired those recruits" rang Donavan's voice. A good thing indeed. But when I got to the marshal.....My party had 3 members fit for battle.
After I was turned away with with my broken down party, I headed for Valonbray. All of a sudden, "TROOP, DOUBLE TIME--MOVE MOVE MOVE" I hear Kassim shouting. For good reason. Appearantly we stumbled into the path of some Heritics out looking for a sacrifice. We barely escaped.
After reaching Valonbray, we rested and after a while another peasant approached our camp. He was blubbering on about bandits. "Ok we'll help you", I agreed begrudgingly. Then it was back to Kennett castle.
As we ride into the seige camp at Kennett, I go to the marshals tent and join the campagn. After the battle of Kennett, I had a good laugh with all the lords from the battle. They all seemed to lighten up a little, some more than others.
I headed out with our fearless leader and happened to catch a Sarleon lord off guard. Apperantly he didnt see Konnie behind me. Probably staring at my ass. We totally decimated his army, if you want to call it that. I watched most of the battle from my back. We still captured him though. Then another lord popped up. Got him too. Konnie is a wonderfull friend to have in dark times.
After collecting the ransoms, I went straight away to make amends with Jarl Vigdus. The marshal was headed to Javiksholm anyway so I tagged along for a free escort. The trip was fun. We had some good times with some unfortunate souls.
Now, being released from duty, I was free to take care of some business. After repaying Jarl Vigdus I stopped in Windholm for a much needed drink. I met an interesting fellow in the tavern.
We headed out for Rane to get some supplies. Of course when we got there, we headed straight for the tavern. Wouldn't you know it, we picked up some more stragglers. They gladly vollanteered for service.
"Lets go tear that hideout apart"! Exclaimed Sir Rayne, when I filled him in on the on the promise I made to the merchant. Save his son from sure death at the hands of bloodthirsty Vanskerrys.
We found the hidden path, full of jagged rocks and other pitfalls. We knew the Bandits were alerted to our presance by the whosh, whosh, whosh of axes. Their leader was cut down in an instant. The others fell 1 by 1, until we found the young welp hiding behind some barrels. "Thank you miss, I was headed for a terrible fate untill you showed up" he said, trembeling. "Just try to stay out of trouble" I scolded.
Appearently, this kind of life is not for some. Moving on, Headed back from the frozen wasteland, again, I took a leave from duty and decided to troll around for some trade goods or bandit partys. Some more of those Barclay warriors joined us and we saved another village from sure destruction. But the memories of my old sword brothers keep calling me back. Ran into another fellow, His name was Finneous. I traded my sparkely gem for a strange drink.
At that point I made up my mind to return to my comrades in arms. I heard they went to war with the snowmen from the north as well as Sarleon. I found them in the middle of a siege at Avendor.
Notice the differance a shield wall makes?
After taking Avendor and partying with the lords afterward, I headed back towards the frozen north. Of course, I traveled with some good sword brothers bringing misfortune upon all who crossed our path. Namely 2 dumb Ravenstern lords. Their brains must still be frozen. The treasury grows, as does the party. Some more warriors from Barclay have joined us. These guys are serious muscle, Their crossbows are good to have around. Also Fredrick from Mettenhiem joined us.
As we left the safety of our comrades, we headed south towards Rizi. In the distance we could see billowing clouds of smoke. As we approached the village, we could hear the blood curdling crys of the innocent peasants being put to death. "Lord Burgundus is up to no good again" chimed Fred. "I wish we could stop his knights" I muttered. Its one thing to save the villagers, but its not fun to die with them.
Out of nowhere, we heard a shout from the lords scout patrol. Fortunately they were too far away to catch us before we could reach the safety of Hrolfson castle. That was an adventure in itself.
After leaving the castle, Lord Burgundus was hot on our trail. He followed us right into a trap! Lord Dirigun Farsail was waiting in a group of trees and joined in to help. After taking him into custody, we traveled a bit with our escort and joined up with our other comrades.
Then out of nowhere, a group of Dawn knights decided to burn us to a crisp. Luckily we were close enough to the safety of Javiksholm." Those Dawn knights are persistant bastards", exclamed Kassim. The whole party nodded in agreement.
Thus ends this chapter, for I must be handed off to another. May your journey be prosperious. This is where I leave you.
Good Luck, Axe.
Authors notes,
It was a tough run. I dont usually play on full difficulty but this was fun. Starting in the hole with quests on the line I got right to business. I was attacked and knocked out 2 times when entering towns at night. Somewhere along the way, I lost the jairds and switched over to a bow. Nekked is now at PD 5. I did take the gem from Rane, only because if you get a map to Rane for hidden treasure it might go away. I used it on a much needed elixar, What good is a rune weapon if you can't use it. Suprisingly I only reloaded about 10 times, mostly from getting caught by partys I didn't want to mess with. Once I started rolling with the Barclay guys everything changed. Shield walls saved me from more than a few sure knock outs. I left the game with a village being raided. You are in the service of the Ferdies. The lord raiding the village has another lord as a prisoner GL. The story may not be in exact order and I know my spelling of names is bad.
End pics of state of affairs.
New enemys to run from,
Due to the save game problem, there has been additions to my chapter. It is now up to date with day 81.
In order to use this save you have to have the sept 21 patch installed in your modules folder.
Here is the link.
