Need More Info Needs Help with Brigands not registering defeated parties

Summary: Defeating quest-marked parties of brigands/bandits does not register as completing the quest obligations. Number remains "0." Only destroying hideouts works, and only sporadically.
How to Reproduce: Just pick up a Needs Help with Brigands quest.

Thank you for your reply! I reloaded the game (twice) and kept playing and for some reason the quest was working properly (but in a different region on the map). I need to figure out if the problem was a fluke or if it's limited to certain locations etc. I will follow up with a brand new post and an attached save game if I can recreate the problem. Thanks again.
