Fantastic! In future. This would be great for me!

do you want me to start making music for u? i guess if i start early it would be better for both of us

Well if you can do 18th - 19th century music, simular to: rule britania, and different anthems I would be honored.

EDIT: And I'll send you a pm tomorrow so can we look into stuff

alright sweet :)

You only need sound samples of the instruments you're using. MIDI files only contain information about pitch, length and timing of a note so if you import it to a tracker of your choice and assign an instrumental sample to it you should get a far better sound because, well, you use the recorded sound of an instrument instead of a perfect, digital tone. Of course, it's not as good as recording your songs when they're played on the instruments but it's more than just good enough for a start.

I can't help you much more than that, because I haven't had time to dig up information about this topic and only intend to get into making my own digital music in the mid- to distant future.
