Use BRFEdit to make a new .brf file for the game. when it's ready, save it and put it in yor mod's Resource folder. Put the textures in the Textures folder. NOT the game's Textures folder, the mod's Textures folder. Then open module.ini and write at the bottom of the file "load_mod_resource = <brf file name here, example:>new_swords.brf". Then use the ModuleSystem or the Item Editor to put the weapon in the game, and eventially the Troop Editor or ModuleSystem again,to make the items used by troops.

Your .brf's and textures:
examples:
new_swords.brf
new_swords.dds

Your Mod's Folders:
examples:
D/Games/Mount&Blade/Modules/Mymod/Resource
or
D/Games/Mount&Blade/Modules/Mymod/Textures
