need help

i think this is in the right sub-forum...

ive just finished the first unofficial modeling tutorial and i have one question. how do you divide an object into cubicles or segments. like at the end the huge cube is divided into whatever many cubicles. any help would be appreciated

and you use wings 3d then you click edges then press G key to make a loop then C to connect thats they way i know how to do it

do i shade the whole cube? or do you have to do it edge by edge?

um i think you can just do the whole cube but idk im just started doing this my self

and if you need more help watch the unofficial tut vids thats what im using to learn from and there pretty good
