NEED HELP WITH LIGHT&DARKNESS MOD

Well I've killed the first boss. And i went to Zender talked to the count guy, The tutorial says to go to any town's inn and drink the tavern keeper will ask you about the medal. I've went to several town's inns and none of them said anything about it. why is it? I would appreciate it if you guys would help, thanks.
