Need advice on being King

Well I'm at the end game of being King for the first time. I just have 3 towns I'm saving from the rhodakes or whatever they are called, and around 25 castles to get. However, I'm already thinking of my next play through on how I want it to be different. In this run I rebelled against the Nords to start my own kingdom with 69 right to rule. Problem was I was only able to make peace once for a short time with the swadia kingdom. Other than that the whole game every kingdom was at war with me and not each other. I had to fight tooth and nail at every turn . I took out 3 factions already so now it's getting easier. However, I feel more like a warlord than a king. Playing like this forced me to play every difficulty setting on very easy expect battle size just to survive. Next time I do a run I want to have more diplomatic relations with other factions and not be at war with every kingdom once I become king. I thought having 69 right to rule would not have made every kingdom hate me once I became king. Did I mess up when I rebelled against the Nords? Or do I need a higher right to rule number? I ask because I want to play a more decisive game of cat and mouse on a higher difficulty settings. I can't do that when every kingdom hates me and I have to fight hordes and hordes of enemies which is even hard on the easiest settings. I don't feel bad though on the play through cause I learned a lot how important it is to deal with vassels of my realm. It's just on my next play through I don't want to fight a war on six fronts and I want to have times of peace. When I do have a war I want each battle to be more challenging and meaningful instead of going from fight to fight nonstop. That will also make wars more interesting overall. Anyway, any advise on how I can make this happen?

More renown will always help, for sure, although I'm kinda surprised that 69 wasn't enough to keep almost everyone from attacking you at once. Just get more next time. Having a good relationship with as many lords as faction leaders as possible would also help. No matter what, the faction you rebelled against will hate your guts for a very long time, so make sure your fiefs are well defended against the inevitable campaigns.

Also, you want more challenging battles, even though you have to lower the difficulty already? Being at war with everyone is about as challenging as it gets anyway.

Some more king tips:

Ministers: He/she will allow you to send emissaries to other kingdoms to ask for peace, RTR, war, or just find out what they're thinking about your kingdom. A minister also allows you to appoint fiefs and indict problematic lords for treason, which are both crucial. You have 3 options: A notable citizen, your wife, or a companion. The citizen is limited, and lords will dislike having your wife for a minister. The best option is to pick a companion.

Personalities: You've probably noticed lords may have consistently noble/cruel lines of dialogue. Notice these, because they tell a lot about their personality. Knowing their point of view is the difference between taking on a lord that will never leave you and never cause trouble, and letting in a bastard lord that always demands fiefs and will betray you in an instant. If they like you enough, you can ask about what they think of the world and politics in private. Read all about 'em here: http://mountandblade.wikia.com/wiki/Vassals

Relationships: Prior to ascending to the throne, be BFFs with as many people as you can. They will be easier to convince to join you as a vassal, will be more likely to seek you out, and are more likely to follow you on campaign, instead of raiding villages in the middle of nowhere.

not quite what you asked, but something to think about: Warband is a sandbox game, so that means you create your end goals. That includes:

1) play as a bandit (never becoming a lord or a king), just raiding, looting, attacking weak armies, etc; don't build enterprises for easy money, ...

2) play as a vassal (never becoming a king), without trying to conquer the world (play as a normal lord: raid villages for money, protect your kingdom, join wars with your marshal, etc)

and so on

game has plenty of options besides the "conquer it all". In fact, that option is kind of boring as at one point it becomes too easy and a grind, in special for Native (and as a console player you are limited to that, you can't enjoy the 1000 new improvements from the modding community )
