Your bones will be crushed, your body dismembered, you will die, yeah, you will die a lot. But in time your skills will become shaped, you too will be a formidable oponent for anyone. There’s no better way to practice one’s fighting ability than to go one on one – noone can help you but yourself. There are no random arrows flying, no cavalry coming up with a lance from behind, it’s just you and the guy in front of you.
Arr, fellow combatants, there’s more to it than just dueling in the open. For the bold ones there’s the dread Cage, once entering which you will not be walking out. This is our special thing, invented by a madman named Ramses. Fight goes on until there’s only one of the two still standing, you can kick, you can bite – there’s but one rule: make a good show of blood. After your opponent’s death next one takes his place and tries to steal your place as the victor. You’ll be inside as long as you are able to, this is not only a battle of swords and axes but also a competition of mental endurance. How many men can you take before your reflexes grow weak, your muscles tired, your vision blurred? Ten? Twenty? A hundred, perhaps? How many hits can you endure before going down to join the profound underworld of fallen gladiators? One way or another – you won’t walk out alive. Prove your skills worthy and you shall join the glorious champions of the Cage and their names live long after their bodies become rotten and turned into dust!
Woah, so you're feeling like some real sport? Well, here's our bloody sport for yer, original idea by Hamelech (also known as Bane):
This event is called ShieldBall. There are two teams, Nords and Swadians (obviously), of equal size, and only default armour, no shields allowed, no ranged/throwing weapons (other than that any weapons allowed). They will be distinctive because of their respective blue and red clothes. This game involves careful teamwork! One person on one of the teams begins with a shield, but no other weapons. Their teammates must defend them (they are not allowed to use the shield to block, or it will break!!! They should wear it on their backs) as they try to get to the enemy's base (there are two pre-arranged bases, one on each side of the map). If they reach the base with the shield, the team scores. If they are cruelly cut down because their teammates hate them, the shield will be on the ground for the other team to pick up and try to score. Obviously we will need an umpire to make sure the game is fair. Defending your shield carrier will be quite tough because of friendly fire, but if the right tactics are used (or you have someone really good on your team), it should work! Once a team member is killed, when they respawn they should run and touch their base before re-entering the field of play, to ensure that people don't luckily spawn beside the shield carrier.

There are 3 killers who have to kill everyone they see (accept the killers of course) And after a time limit (usually 5 or 10 minutes) the people with the lowest deaths get to choose who they want to be the killers next. Then it starts over.

This event is a horse race, everyone has horses each, no armoured horses, and everyone has throwing weapons, the map is usually ruins, you do 2 laps around the map trying to kill peoples horses, kill other players and you will be disqualified.
The last few races you will be allowed weapons of your choice and you will be allowed to kill other players.
No duelling server can go without rules. Here are ours. Obey them or you’ll be out sooner than you might think. Expect to be watched as our admins go also under other nicknames – randomers won’t escape the banhammer.
Rules:
1) THIS IS A DUEL SERVER, DO NOT STRIKE ANYONE OTHER THAN THE ONE WHOM YOU ARE DUELING
2) Initiate a duel by facing another player and gesturing with an upwards block, upwards tap of the shield or jumping repeatedly on the spot. If the other player returns this gesture then he also wants to duel and you may go ahead and fight. To refuse a duel either sheathe your weapon or turn your back on your opponent.
3) Any level of armour is ALLOWED
4) Thrown weapons are NOT ALLOWED
5) Ranged, mounted and melee duels are ALLOWED
6) The other "gentlemenly" rules of dueling do not apply i.e kicking, striking after your opponent has fallen and shield switching are ALLOWED
