Group D:

U.S.A. looked to have 2nd place wrapped up but it's still mathematically possible for both the Czech Republic and France to go through should U.S.A. slip up against Georgia.

Question #2

When two teams have the same amount of points (possible in group D, should USA lose to Georgia and the France-Czech match not end in draw): should USA not already have qualified since they have beat both France and Czech? Or do the match results between teams not matter, and it is all determined by round difference (or rounds won)?

That's a good point. Yes U.S.A. will have already qualified if they have beaten Czech Republic and France.

This is only the case if ...

USA loses to Georgia and [...] the France-Czech match does not end in draw

But if the France-Czech match end in a draw wouldn't both teams get 1 pt each? In that case USA still qualifies.
