Natural Selection 2

The flamer is for destroying alien buildings.

Turrets are somewhat effective early-game, however when you get to the Skulks, the power source can just be sniped from afar, not to mention the Onyx.

Also, I dont know how you shoot that rifle, but I think 5 magazines is more than enough for defense. It's not designed to be the best weapon in the game, ammo capacity is it's weak point.

Also, good commander drops ammo for good little soldiers

Flamethrower also eats away aliens energy, meaning that hulking Onos is not that dangerous anymore

That I didn't know
About the ammo, thing, I don't remember being out of ammo in NS1, but in this game I always end like that with every weapon

I wish the rifle was upgradable. I find it much more enjoyable to spray bullets, especially since allies ALWAYS jump infront of my grenade launcher, or it bounces horribly somewhere... (Which is my second favourite weapon)

Asopposed to Danath I find this game excellent. If you find a team with coordination and communication the game is just an orgy of fun. With all its differences from NS1 you just have to adapt and it's still super tactical and skill based.

Had a great game on a Seattle server, we were stuck with 2 hives on docking for the first half hour, traded bases with marines a couple of times, whilst losing our main base in generators.

The best part was playing as a lerk with 3 others just spiking the exos from crevice that attempted to push into crossroads, who for some reason, refused to push on despite having the support of ARCs, MACs and jetpacking marines.

Double post, but I feel that it's justified with the new update trailer.

And AFAIK, there might be yet another sale for NS2.
