Anybody playing this? Bought this on impulse last night.
Game seems awesome and all, but cant play it. At first coudlnt join servers cause of timeout.
Later I got in, but this is what I saw

Coudlnt move or actually do anything. But the game did not crash as I could still use the esc menu and remap keys and change settings.

Second attempt ended in a similar manner.

Have played it from time to time. It actually is quite great, but skillful and I suck and the game is hard.

Doubt that's gonna happen this year. It was down 60% twice and a lot of people got it. Was ranked second on the Top sellers.

So... This game is fun and all but it makes my PC completely lock up randomly. Like, every 30 minutes or so my computer just completely locks up and I have to force a restart. Only happens with this game. :'(

How's the learning curve like? I've never played Natural Selection before and the whole commander aspect seems extremely confusing.

Being a trooper is fairly easy, especially with a good commander giving you orders.

I'd like to say that being a commander is easy with some practice and knowledge (it really is) but apparently not as 9 out of 10 games my commander is a ****ing idiot.

Yeah, commanders decide if you are going to win the match or not, not matter how good of a player you are.

"Hey guys, let's take over the center of the map so I can put a hive there"
"Uh, I dont think we can put a hive there, no place for it..."
"..."
"...Take over the center of the map so I can put a hive up there guys, gogogo!"

Sigh.

Also, ****ing Onos, man. Those things shouldnt have Camouflage available, it's ridiculous.

Marines are considerably easy to play, since the aliens require you to be a bit more experienced. Which is why almost everyone try to go Marine at the start of the round.
