That solved my problem. Thanks brzi
Sorry for not reading all.

I don't think anyone said this specifically, but the .608b download is incomplete. It finishes downloading for me, but is not the size it is supposed to be and can't be opened or unzipped. Additionally, when I tried to use .605b and the universal patch, the game crashed after character creation, when I hear a sword rasping. I unzipped the patch into the .605b folder, since leaving it in the modules folder made it an option when launching M&B. Am Others have said the patch works for them, so perhaps I'm doing it wrong?

So, uh, extremely annoying bug. Apparently, even if heroes flee a victorious battle, they can still be wounded. This is a major problem for me, as I tend to try and tackle large threats by myself when I have a small party, to avoid them getting massacred. However, every time I do this, most of my heroes end up getting long term injuries, even though they never fought, and the battle was won. I've had to turn off injuries entirely for now, which seems a shame, as it would otherwise be a nice feature.

The injury check is based on their health. If they were never injured, and also fled, they shouldn't receive an injury. But they don't have to be KO'ed to receive an injury - getting severely injured is enough. Can you verify that 1) The companion was not injured AT ALL 2) They still received an injury?

If they WERE injured, it was from a previous battle in which they received no longterm wounds. They definitely didn't take any damage in that battle, as I ordered them to retreat as soon as the battle started, and all five of my companions received wounds when the battle was over. I'll do some more testing next time i'm in a favourable position to do so, and see if it's repeatable.

When you hit tab, did you get the "Retreat" dialog?

It's a native feature that IF you use the "Retreat" option, the remaining enemy and their reinforcements get to "hunt you down" so to speak, and can trigger injuries then. That is not really NE, but the native code counting you hitting the "Retreat" button as a cue for using the autocalc to finish the battle.

No, I hit tab after the "The battle has been won!" message. And repeated and confirmed, all of my companions took wounds in a battle they took no part in.

All of them took wounds, even Tismanu, who was at 80% health.

To clarify, what i'm doing is hitting F1, and issuing a retreat command to all units. I'm never actually fleeing the battle, and I go on to win it normally myself.

EDIT: Redid the battle to get more screens, documenting the whole thing.

Wierdly, Katrin's stats seem unchanged. I'm not sure if that's because the wound message is only a message, and doesnt actually have any effect, or if her strength is already as low as it can go.

Maybe instead of telling them to retreat, order them to hold ground at the edge of the battle and then go and kill the enemies yourself. Could be just that being routed also counts as taking damage during battle.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. The enemy army will always head for the main bulk of your forces, ignoring you for the most part, so unless you wipe them out before they get there, you're going to take losses.

And honestly, if it comes to choosing whether to enable an optional challenge feature at the cost of making one of my most common early game strategies non-viable for logically questionable reasons, i'll just disable the feature.

Still, it looks like a bug to me, so i'm reporting it. Being able to work around a bug is not a reason to not report it in the first place.

Any updates on how the next version of the mod is going? Even if its not much, I'd just like something to know that its still alive!

Also, I was thinking that maybe a nice addition to this mod is the ability to select a culture for your kingdom, but for there to be an option for a custom culture. I'm not sure how this would be implemented, or how it would run, but I really see it as a good idea if it could work. You could maybe have a generic tree, that in game players could select different equipment for the troops to have, change their names  etc. You could even let them choose what to specialize in for their elites and nobles eg. Choosing Infantary would mean you have say Custom Noble Infantary or something like that.

Also (and I know its been said about a billion times) but the Dark Knights are a sad bunch now. Every game, they arrive, seige, do nothing, lords defect away, then lady larktin does nothing. Maybe you could have it that they have an agressive trait, meaning they are always looking where to attack next when they have the trrops, and that they can't defect, but lords that join them can leave again if that makes sense.

Sorry for the wall of text  I got a little carried away with my suggestions haha
Anyways great work with what you've done so far! Still is one of my favorite mods and has been the main one is use!

 this is officially the best mod i have ever seen but there are some easy to fix minor problems i need help with the only thing is the texture loading for almost all the new armors and weapons whenever the game has one on the screen it will take me to my home page and tell me what didn't load  then after that that item (if its on the battle field) its just pitch black and in shops its invisible please either tell me how to fix this or fix this

Most likely issue with the download getting interrupted and corrupted. Try again, and make sure the entire file is downloaded.
