Nation/Troop Strengths/Weaknesses

So, who's good at what? What is the personality of these armies?
Historically I think the British had the best riflemen, at least compared to Napoleon's (British volunteer army vs. French conscript army). Prussia I would imagine has strong infantry as well. Napoleon was known for his ingenious use of cannon, though I don't know if that means French cannon should be superior...
Do Russian Militia/Partisan troops have anything to make up for their poor equipment? More ironflesh, powerstrike?

Anyone know how it actually works in the game?

Thats if you count the people who volunteered to join instead of going to prison or transportation or the gallows!

I know, I know, and considered putting it in quotes, but nonetheless they were considered to be more disciplined and faster at reloading their muskets than the French troops.

Yea I know what you mean! I'd say the British probably had one of the best infantry armies in the world.

I don`t think Russian partisan troops should have any better stats, if this would be single, then better morale, but thats impossible to do for MP.
French were alongside Russians best melee fighters, another strengh is faster movement. Russians got best melee fighters, but their shooting skills were terrible...
I think french art should have SLIGHTLY (not much) higher reloading speed, or atleas their horse art should be fastest (why not only one?) in game.
British: Great shooters,  average melee, slow movement. Cav: CAN`T match against Napoleon`s, hwo got best(?) cav. artilerry: Smaller than most nations.

For balance, factions are quite similar.

They are small differences: Russia gets militia, Frenchies get a cool heavy cavalry with long sabres instead of just cuirassers plus carabiniers (having 3 heavy cav instead of 1 like other nations)... etc.

Partisans and rockets should be taken out of commander battles entirely. Every map Russia comes up on it turns into "HEY LOOK GUIZ I GOT PARTISNS LOOK @ ME CHARG FOR SPARTA LOL LOL LOL" and we're down 30 men. Same with rockets, they don't hit **** and they're not supposed to.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Russian peasant get a power strike of 4 instead of 3.. assuming penalties were made to other weapon proficiencies. Slow and brutish are what comes to mind when I think of a farming peasant wailing on somebody with a tree branch

the french army is the best against cav, every one of there units has bayonets :/ but in my opinion balance sux hard in this game in general because its balanced around 1vs1 rather then 200vs200, so its more of a shotter then a strategy balance, destroying the commander battles.

I read somewhere the Russians saltpeter quality was much lower than the other Coalition nations and they suffered from more musket misfires than anyone else, but they balanced this out with numbers and bayonet charges with numbers.

Not sure if it is true or not though.

I do know their artillery worked hard on the field and used the infamous Unicorn artillery piece.

Peasants should get 2x the amount of normal units, and should be armed with tree branches, hoes, and bottles!

I would like the idea of different stats for different units, It would add a bit more depth to the whole battle.

Rockets are damned lethal on a line if you get a hit. I've deployed up close to an enemy line and obliterated it in the past with a single rocket.

^ That. Properly deployed and backed up they will absolutely wreck ****. Helps if the rocketeer is halfway competent.
