Alright, Nom, according to your logic, next time we find a problem in the rules, we'll just keep silent and exploit it. Hey, it'd be poor form, but certainly better because we won't be 'hypocrites', right?

No, but the only thing that match proved is that we are better than you at Port Assault, and you are better than us at Field by the River. Because we had defender, we won the match. If you were defender, and picked FBTR both times, then the same problem would've occurred but in your favor. This is problematic, because it hardly shows if a team is better overall, just that they're better at their defending map. Even if we didn't pick Port Assault, and picked Nord Town, another closed map, and won, it would only show we're better at closed maps, and not overall.

To be totally fair, Field is somewhat even to both sides.

Port Assault does indeed allow one team to camp two master spawns while the boat team only gets one. Defending with Rhodoks spamming hammers does exacerbate this issue as well.

Within the ruleset, CRAP won fair and square. Congratulations to them.

That's ridiculous. The criticism has always been directed at the ruleset, not at the teams. We play to win like any other team and don't have any intention of putting ourselves at a disadvantage just because we were vocal about obvious flaws in the system.

I mean what kind of crap is that? How does that show who the better team is? Just like so many other games, that was clearly decided by the fact that the defender has a ridiculous advantage in picking twice.

As Rhade said, you were perfectly within the rules, and you won, congratulations. But you and I both know that the match did not determine who deserved 3rd place.

This is wrong. "3rd place" in this context means "3rd best team at naste rules." They most definitely are that if they got 3rd while playing within the naste rules. That's what that means. Whether those rules are any good at determining the better team is irrelevant to that.

This is none of my business and I don't really keep up with this but I hope you revise the rules for next season using the formula that like every game that doesn't have symmetrical maps uses, so that each match is actually an equal contest. Having a ladder format with a large advantage given to the higher team in every match doesn't encourage anyone to climb it and just bores the **** out of the people on top.

We played NASTe and did our best to do as well as we could in NASTe. I just think what NASTe is and what it favours needs some work.

Regardless, we had a great time playing in the competition and I just hope some of the criticisms can be taken on board for the next season, which I look forward to playing in. Thanks to Marnid and the ladder admins for putting it all together. It's really important for the NA community to have competitions like this and even though it's smaller, I have an awesome time playing in the NA scene.

Congratulations to BAD for being NASTie bastards and well done BkS for holding the title all this time. Still the kings of plains...
