Team LAG should be official in a short time now.

Fixed for you.

I'd also like to announce the intentions of long-running community & ladder participant, Ra (whose members are mostly drawn from ye olde PRT). They have graciously volunteered for the distinction of being official ladder commentators and pre-approved match recorders. Ra is hereby automatically approved to spectate & record matches, and I expect the teams of the ladder to make reasonable accommodations if Ra wishes to record their match.

This is not to say that Ra has free reign to overrule a team's wishes to keep spectator camera locked to team, though I do not think this should be much of an issue.

I'm personally looking forward to a whole slew of recorded matches.

[Update]

Mr.X has been dropped from Ra's ra-ster, as per their request.

LAG has been added to the team list & ladder.

Speaking of team LAG, we're looking for an opening match this weekend!

PeeEhm me to schedule!

Er, am I doing this wrong? >.>

Just make sure finalized match times are sent to me or another ladder admin.

By the way, I'm updating the team list with their current challenger/defender status and the dates of their upcoming matches.

[Edit]

Just goofed on the ladder image update 3 times in a row. It's proper now. I hope Catholic didn't see that I accidentally replaced his entire team with a zero.

LES is looking for a scrim tonight. I'll be on as usual starting this evening, so if a group is interested please let me know so we can get it set up ASAP.

Regarding dropping players for the other team, for example, if they bring 6 and one drops. Is it allowed? Ra didn't do it for us and I'm wondering whether that's a rule set in place or whether they just didn't wish to give us the courtesy (which I'd be fine with).

edit: said wrong thing at first.

I made the decision to keep on playing because I knew suriell was coming back asap.

Roger, keep the match running. Question is whether it's valid to drop to a 5v5.
And this isn't a *****fest at you nor ra at keeping your numbers. Under the rules, you're fully allowed to. I'm merely wondering whether dropping down one to even numbers is allowed.

Yeah I understand being that I wasnt the admin called for that match didnt get a pm. I just saw server locked so I went in to see what was going on, it was 2 rounds gone without suriell iirc CRAP won 1 or both rounds, so I immediately looked over rules and didnt find anything so I was aware suriell would rejoin in soon, matter of min. thats why I made that verdict. But you bring a good point, I mentioned it briefly with marnid but didnt really ask him about this in details. this happened in our match always.

If I recall correctly, Suriell was out for 3 rounds (including the one he disconnected in) and CRAP lost all 3 of those in a row. Considering how SSS (basically, CRAP) was in the K-BOOB tournament, I didn't expect, nor deserve, probably, the other team to drop anyone. It was still an intense game, and one of the funner ones we have had recently.

So basically a team may drop players if they wish, but you just made the verdict that Ra shouldn't. And yeah, we lost all three of those rounds. Fine with me. I'm not disputing it at all, and as Rurin said, I somewhat deserve it.

And hell yes. It was probably funner than most of the SSS matches. Looking forward to the sunday rematch.

I didnt give the verdict for Ra not to drop, I said The minimum is 6, if you member dropped because of computer issues, they arent obligated to drop, so I left it up to them. Also that was what was happening before I got there, I joined 1 round before suriell came back. Sorry about scores head and all these numbers eh they get switched up a lot.

To clarify, the rules state nothing about compensating for dropped players on the opposing team. I feel I cannot force teams to drop players for the benefit of the opposing team, yet I also feel that I can't allow teams to lose solely because their members are unexpectedly dropping.

There's nothing in the rules about it because I'm not sure how to handle it. I think I'll leave it open to the team captains. If an opposing team drops one player, you can drop a player if you want to even the teams. If they drop two, that's 33% of their team, so I don't think it's acceptable to continue that round.

So I suppose the final verdict on this, pending popular approval, is that it's acceptable to lose one player and continue the round, and the opposing team has the choice of dropping one player to even the teams. It isn't required, and it isn't punishable if a player isn't dropped to even the teams, but I'll leave the option there as a show of good will if teams wish to do so.

However, if a player drops and is not back before the end of the round they dropped or the end of the following round, and if no other players can be substituted into their place, I'd suggest rescheduling.

Because this rule could directly influence the way matches are played, it isn't going into effect until it's approved by the ladder admins. We'll talk it out here and accept input from the teams.

So the match starts out 6v6. A few rounds into it, Player A's internet cuts out. No subs are around for that team.

It gets rescheduled?
Do they play from the map w/ the score it was before the Player A's internet cut out?
Or does it start over from the beginning?

I think there will be at least 5 more teams by the time November hits .... that deadline is far off in many peoples minds, so like all gamers, they will take their sweet ol time.
