A ridiculous precedent has been set that makes it impossible to play matches. Teams and players need to be responsible for their own connections. End of.

Here's how our match went, at 8:30 EST, CRAP vs. GOOD.
Started off not too bad (although blak stated that Juvenile's ping was spiking from the beginning) and roughly as we were 4-0, us. Blak says Juvenile's ping is spiking and we need to switch servers. I offer we drop one and juv for a 5v5, but Zero comes in and says we switch servers or reschedule. So we go on balion war room, Juv's ping is still ridiculously high, and suddenly... he chimes in that he's in the middle of a thunderstorm. So blak says we can just play it 5v5, like I said earlier, and switches it to the map and factions we were playing on. It was already established that the East coast server was not the problem, so we asked why can't we play on beast coast. Finally, we agree to play 5v5 on balion war room, then zero chimes in and says it's over and we need to reschedule. We explicitly agreed to playing 5v5 war room in the end, and he ended it.
First of all, why is one player's ping spiking grounds for completely rescheduling? Especially when it's clear that it is the player's fault and not the server's? Why did Zero cancel the damn match when everyone was fine(to my understanding) of playing 5v5 on balion war room, even though it made no sense because the east coast server was NOT an issue? By that logic someone could **** with their internet cable, get crazy ping and the whole match would be rescheduled.
I believe the rule needs to seriously be changed. If it's a server-side problem, then switch servers or reschedule. If it is not a server-side problem and people are lagging then it is their fault and should not be grounds for a reschedule. And when both teams agree to play the match, I do not understand why an admin should cancel the match for no apparent reason whatsoever and demand a reschedule.
Making it worse is that it started at 8:30 which is 1:30 AM for our two brits and we didn't even play, but that's expected in a NA tournament and is not what I'm angry about.
edit: To be clear, I'm not blaming GOOD. I got pissed at them but that was me venting and my opinion of them has not changed. I am angry at the ridiculous rule that stops a match from playing because of one player's ping and Zero's ruling.
It is also a problem that other teams are getting ahead and playing matches while this challenge with GOOD has been going on for two weeks and will go on for more, stopping any sort of advancement for either of our teams.

Flaming was spiking.
I reiterate that I checked paxman's ping and he had 20 ping more on beast coast than balion war room. He had 85 on the beast coast and 60 on balion war room. Unless I checked at a bad time, that was it. I saw the monkey ping spike and juv had a client side issue.blak 说:

Monkeys ping was pretty stable, After GOOD said they had more than one spiking, I sat and watched the pings. Only juvs spiked. And that was over 2minutes. after 2 mins i stopped staring at stable pings and moved onto making a cup of tea!
