What. We just argued about adding this for like two hours yesterday. As a matter of fact, you guys are doing it right now too. Not only that, but multiple admins in this tourney have said that they weren't aware rob was making this addition lol

 
Why not just put it to a poll? I mean if this tourney is for the community, don't you want their input?


I can understand strongly encouraging it, but the suspension is harsh for just not wearing a tag.

He didn't make any "additions."
The rule was in place since the OP, that section of the rules has not been edited once.
In fact, if you truly wanted proof of this, I can show you the PM Tito sent me with the rule proposal.

RULES
Tournament Format
- (1) The format is a ladder played over four weeks. At the end of this time each team will advance to playoffs and be seeded according to their score.
- (2) First place team will play the last place team and so forth.
     
Roster Rules
- (1) Every team consists of nine players and one commander. The classes will be balanced around the amount of teams.
- (2) Commanders may request a player to be removed/replaced, but only with sufficient reason of inappropriate behavior.
- (3) Players may only play with the IDs they originally signed up with, excluding typos. (eg; 1275822 > 1275882)

Server Rules
- (1) We encourage captains to decide which server is fair for both teams to play on, this tournament welcomes both EU and NA players.
- (2) If both captains fail to pick a server, they should go to the tournament administration and ask for help. The administration will pick a server, which will be final.

Fixtures
- (1) Matchups will be determined by Swiss pairings.
- (2) If two teams fail to play their match within the deadline, for the purpose of the next fixture, they will be treated as if they had won their match and lost all rounds.
- (3) Team 1 is the left team and Team 2 is the right team, all according to that week 's thread.
- (4) Fixtures will be preset ahead of time.
- (5) The maps to be played are

CLOSED

        Nord Town
        Naval Outpost
        Tannenburg
        Fort of Honor

OPEN

        Castellum
        Ruins
        River Village
        Desolation Valley

Match Rules
- (1) Matches start at a minimum of 7v7. If both teams have eight players in attendance then 8v8 must be played.
- (2) Every match will consist of 4 sets, every set will be played in a first-to-3 format. After a team gets 3 round wins, the spawns and factions will be switched.
- (3) Server Settings
        Game mode: Battle
        Combat speed: Medium
        Friendly fire:  - self 0% / friend 100%                     
        Gold all: 100%
        Round time: 180 seconds
        Respawn time: 8 seconds
        Camera: team member's view
        Blocking: by mouse movement
- (4) Spectators are allowed unless one team wants to play without spectators. This rule doesn't apply to tournament admins, referees and streamers.
- (5) Spectating the match by joining a team after the spawn period is not allowed at any given point. If a player found spectating by joining a team, documented by footage for example, he will be suspended for one match.
- (6) Substitutions are allowed at any time
- (7) If a player on the other team drops, teams are not required to drop a player.
- (9) Five minutes are allowed in between sets and ten minutes between halves. Teams are not required to wait more than ten minutes for a team's players to arrive at the matches start.

Behaviour Rules
- (1) Players are expected to treat their teammates with respect and show the will to participate in the tournament, if they refuse to participate and/or show a negative attitude, they may be removed and/or replaced.
- (2) Captains must play every member present to a match for at least two sets.
- (3) Players must be respectful and polite to their opponents on both server and forums. If teams repeatedly show a poor attitude and display rudeness they will be punished by the tournament admins on case-by-case basis.
- (4) Modifying any texture files, excluding modified crosshairs, is strictly prohibited. Any player or team that is found to have modified textures will immediately be banned from the tournament.
- (5) Players that attempt to utilize any kind of autoblock, aimbot or any other game modification that gives them an advantage will be immediately banned from the tournament.

why do you get involved in everything
 
I think special events like I don't know the Opening Ceremony of the Summer Olympics that only happen every 4 years should bar teams from scheduling a said match during the said time that that special event is occurring since some people would like to watch that, but deep down want to play their match and be loyal to their team. :][

Is the opening ceremony of the Olympics something that needs to be watched live?
