OSP Medieval 3D Art Narf's Plate Armour Pack (UPDATED FOR WARBAND, 06/11/10)

Despite having fought in your masterly armors for years I never got to thank you, Narf. This resource is one of the greatest services done to the WB community. Thanks!

Any chance an update could see some of the gilded armors, gauntlets and helmets in pure steel only?
 
For anyone who has problems integrating the Sallet helmets via the module system, there is a recurring spelling error in the .brf file, spelling any sallet as "salet". The python_entries_for_module_system.txt however refers to "sallet"-models. You have to change this to "salet" for every helmet.

For the models, thumbs up!  :grin:
 
Hey Narf I wonder if you could  make a Byzantine armours pack. I got some examples in the spoilers

Warband installation:
1. Open Module.ini file in the mod folder you're adding these to.
  [ctrl-f] to find this entry: load_resource = materials_face_gen
  just below that, add:

2. Copy the included Resource file and Textures into your mod directory.

3. Open the item_kinds1 file.  Increase the number on the second line by 15.  Then open the included file named 'item_kinds1_entries', and copy-paste these lines onto the very bottom of the item_kinds1 file, just before the very last line, which starts with 'itm_items_end':

So how can I add it with the module system because I did the first 2 but now I want to add the items using the module system and not the text files.

i have a question, i finally got the transitional pack working, but can i use this mod as well together with the transitional mod? and afterwards, do i have to start over the game, because in my saved game i couldnt find the armors anywhere. thanks in advance
 
If anyone's interested I've done a re-texture of the striped armour in this pack using Narf's base metal texture (so it should look good with the other armour packs) my aim was to make it look more like a steel breastplate, and also make it fit better with the other helmets Narf has made:

it replaces the current texture though you can also add it as a new one if you create a new material for it/add a new item entry.

Question where can i find this armors? use the cheat menu just to check but it was not there. not in the shops also.
 
sorry for being a newbie about this, but i think i didn't i just followed the things that should be done i the text files within the downloaded file, or are you talking about the phython_entries? if thats it where to put it?

-i added the item_kinds1 entries on the modules folder but there are lines beyond the end line. i don't get it.
the instruction says before the ed line text, but there are lines beyond it, will those lines show up in the game? if it shows up where will can i find these things?

Oh, ok. You added it through item_kinds. Have you changed the number in the second line of item_kinds (it's 603 in Native file)?

actually it is not native but another mod. it is Realistic mod. i did it it was 720 so i made it into 735, it starts up, i made a new game but i can't find it anywhere or will it just show up on merchants?

- what will happen to the items that are putted on the item_kinds if the item text are putted after the end item? coz i saw the name of an item and it did came out in the game but when i saw and upgraded type of it (i think it's lordly) it shows just white.
