hi all modders.

could anyone make a napoleanic war mod or a french revolution? that would be so kick ass...

I'd love to see an American war of independance Mod. I just watched the patriot yesterday. Although the English are portrayed as so evil, it's still a very good film.

Actually I don't think they portray "the English" as evil, just a single man, who happens to be in a leadership rank.
And yes that sounds like a cool mod...

There's already been talk about it, lads. But it sorta died out.

Yes, let's categorically say that the age of enlightenment sucks...quite a mature stance. Either way...I can't really see anyone asking you specifically to make the mod. You know, Assyrian, if you find a thread with a topic you're not interested in you don't have to continue reading it and then write a post that say's you think it sucks. In short: Don't be a troll...

i think it wouldn't be very fun because of the lack of variety in weapons. and also, in that time period, cannons and ships played a big part in combat, and m&b doesn't and prob never will have those things.

Well, if you take the 7years war and concentrate on the battles on the American Continent you wouldn't see as much use of cannons. And ships have been important during all eras. In regards to the weaponry it was quite a mix. But you can read all about it in the thread I've linked to in an eralier post.

Holy guacamole, an American Revolution mod would be the STICKS! It would be unrivaled, incomparable, superior! Will anyone have what it takes to make it though? I personally doubt it'll get done.... at least anytime soon. But if it did, ohhh boy if it did..... life......... is'a good.

ships were not important in combat in the middle ages, and that is approximately the time period/technology level of m&b. im no expert on the 1700s, but im pretty sure that cannons were vital to combat. i dont care enough to continue this any further, so this'll be my last post on the matter

Well, what's "important"? Sure, ships got a lot deadlier during the age of gunpowder, but their impact on landwarfare remained more or less the same as in previous eras, except for the ability to blockade ports and disrupt traderouts. But since this isn't depicted in m&b anyway and since you don't exactly command armies it won't have much bearing on the mod. In regards to the issue of cannons, they were indeed important in 18th century warfare, however since many of the battles on the American continent during the 7years war took place in the wilderness cannons were more or less stationary, confined to forts as it were.

And once again, since you don't get to command armies or carry out sieges in m&b there would be no logical glitch in the fact that you had no cannons with you.

Not exactly how it happened, is it?

Franco-Prussian war would be best. Prussians as Swadians, good troops but low numbers, the French as Vaegirs, horrid troops but high numbers. Lots of dead Frenchmen too, so I win again.
