Personal notes page doesn't like them either, in that the emoji and everything after gets wiped as soon as you click "save notes".

This is now fixed. The Personal Notes box now properly accepts any special Unicode characters, including those Unicode emojis.

I use it to makes notes useful for my role. For example, "check this thread in x hours" or "unban this guy in x days"

Then, 6 months later, when I log back into the forum and realise I didn't do any of that stuff I made notes about, I delete them and pretend they never happened.

That's not really a problem because you can easily find out who it is by interacting with them or their profile.

How can we learn the identity of a member who has changed the name. I did not see an explanation on the forum ...

Feel free to ask the user or a moderator (we can track profile changes and see previous names)

Also, social security details and bank account numbers. Very useful, that.
