Admins can of course see a log of all profile changes, including name changes, but we don't plan to make previous or original names available for everyone to see. Sorry.

Easy. Go to his/her profile and check older posts. Try to find somebody quoted him. In the quote you will see his/her name when quote posted.

On the other hand, if you are really curious about someone's nickname, you can always ask them who they are. If they choose to not answer or answer wrong you can ask admins. There are plenty of choices.

Some mp nicks, profile styles, signatures, avatars etc. also gives hints. Even if somebody trying to be doppelganger it can be found and revised.

And no one can actually have Janus' name because it is his username. Even if he changed it, the name Janus could not be taken by someone else.

Your initial username can not be taken as long as the account is not deleted. In your case, the name Omzdog can not be taken by someone even if you had changed it.

There would be no point in changing names if you were going to be branded with the old ones. It is confusing because most people seem to have used it as a joke that they will have to live with for the next 6 months but some people actually wanted their name and be known with a new one.
