Those aren't from name changes though, and neither is new, and neither is a user's main account, they're both alts. One Densetsu, one Lumos. So, not the same thing.

I do have to note that the thought of spoofing my IP occurred to me initially, but I thought it'd be best if I don't play sneaky.

While we're at it, is there anyway to fix post preview so it can handle newer emoticons? That would be great ???

Ah, I see those newish unicode emoji characters indeed cause post preview to fail. I'll look into it.

After investigation I found that not only post Preview didn't like them, they also resulted in wiping your message if you clicked the Toggle View button to switch WYSIWYG editing mode on or off, and they would prevent you from being able to submit an inline-edit of your post within the topic view.

Those 3 problems are now fixed. You will likely need to clear your browser cache for the fixes to fully work on your end, as a couple of cache-able javascript files had to be modified.

Emoji incompatability was an issue for me back in early 2016 until suddenly it stopped causing problems. There wasn't even an update or anything.

Hmm, checked into this one and found that the fix would require either just wiping them all when putting the fix into place, which would be simple, or writing a script to go through and modify each existing personal note in the database in batches.
Wiping them all doesn't seem like an acceptable option, so I'll instead work on option B when I have time for it.
