Now I wonder.
The was this quite old (yet coloured) western movie I was watching the other night (a couple of years back). There's not that many westerns where the ending hasn't been welcome, but oh, the one is queston certainly was.
The film was about a "sheriff"/"judge" named Roy/Ray Something (it was a catchy and smooth name) that ruled a small town over there somewhere as he wished from his headquarters - the tavern. On the tavern's wall there was a poster of a singer our "sheriff" had met in the big world once in his youth, yet he still admired her talents (no one was allowed to touch or maybe even look at the picture).
At one point I remember him taming a bear as his pet. Together with the pet he then spent his days drinking and admiring the holy poster.
All changed when a young lawyer arrived. He could find his place, so he tried to push our sheriff from his thrown. I'm not sure what happened, but I missed the ending, and it has bothered me ever since.
What did happen to our sheriff? How about the bear?
And most importantly, what was the movie named? I need to see it again.
Any guesses?
