Name 3 features you would like to see implemented in the next - not yet started - update / patch !

Users who are viewing this thread

1. bandit playthrough implementation - recruitment, take over hideouts (and upgrade) and street gangs, more loot from raiding, friendly bandit parties can follow you, also: black markets.
2. Feasts - Ai lords and player to have the ability to hold feasts pretty much like in warband, with some fixes already mentioned throughout the forum.
3. More diplomacy options - more ways to interact with other lords, ai lords seeking the player for tasks, more ways to influence others.

I think these are what i like to see the most, short-term-wise.
+10 All great ideas.

1. Some stuff to do other than conquering fiefs all the time. It really loses replay value after a couple of playthroughs because all you can do different is trying out new weapons or fighting styles at this point (2h or 1h specialization etc. which doesn't usually even need a new playthrough).

2. Some stuff for AI to do (Gathering for feasts, traveling to a castle to see a friend, woo his daughter etc.) instead of recruit/wage war/raid cycle that we have. Some life into NPCs along with it. Eg: Needs / wants. Maybe unique wars starting out of it: Eg: Monchug needs to execute the lord that he has - 100 relationship with, to satisfy his blood feud and to finally end this war etc.

3. Intrigue and coup. Maybe assassinations much like the Intrigue mod in the nexus.

Easter eggs of references to warbands lords or companions (a frodogorn ancestor)

Diferent models of siege engines based on the character culture(empire having more detailed models and batannia having siege engines with a more rustic or crude looking)

Diferent tournaments leagues(based on character stats)

1- I’d like to see the sieges fixed which will be brilliant. 2- some fleshed out companions like in Warband to be added (more to come later). 3- changes to troop trees- primarily common archers for Battania and melee cavalry for the Empire. I’d be happy with those for now.

I'd like to see 2 changes...
1 - Logic
2 - Coherency
There are so many "mechanics" that are just arbitrary. They're there to be there.

for me i gave up on the game since they made death in battle a thing .

but my ideas are this
1- more campaign options (option to go back to the old setting (only death of old age) . change death age )
2-fix the real issues in the game (ai in general. economy. relations . speech checks .khuzait.)
3- working armor armor that is useful but not broken
note that i havent played the game in a very long time so dont know what they did in this time. i bet non of what i said

Howdy Fellow Forumites,

It bothered me for some time that our voice is not very well organized. I believe this may be the "data backed up vox populi" or "fans priorities list". I will gather the data, voluntarily wrap up and prepare simple statistics for those after 1 week - 10 days time.

I'd be easier for me to see the replies in the format proposed below:

1. Feature name - short descr. (link to existing thread is also a good option !) - 9 points
2. Feature name - short descr. - 3 points
3. Feature name - short descr. - 1 point

Many of us would like to see some of the features beind worked on but i find it very chaotic and spread across the whole lenght and width of the forum.

My example:

1. Nerf Smithing - its so much OP right now.
2. Utilize rebel clans - currently there is no purpose they should exists apart from the single act of rebelion.
3. Rework economy - i believe trade require more polishing, and skill itself should affect things, plus reaching 300 is damn hard and painful.

P.S. Small suggestion - > I also believe we shouldn't judge anybody's ideas here as this is not the point of this study/thread.

I hope you like the idea and participate  !

Regards !!
1.Feasts a la Warband. Gathering of Nobles to increase relations / scope suitors.
2.Working Traits. Cos they don't.
3.More control over own parties. Tell them where and who to fight/recruit/patrol.
4.Better diplomacy. Ally/non agression/trade agreements /etc.
5.Agree with all yours.

1 - The hotkeys on PC to go back to before they changed them a few patches ago. Condensing everything to 3 hotkeys was a horrible implementation. Even with the new shortcuts now it just doesn't work as well as it did previously and completely puts me off playing everytime I try.

Can only have been done to make it easier for gamepad users. And sorry but give them their own one is my opinion (work on two seperate controls for PC and console). Don't dumb down the PC hotkeys. We have a keyboard with hundreds of keys. Let us use them!

2 - Something to be done to the archery to make it more like Warband. Because currently I find archery to be too easy and feels off.
Using a bow of any kind just feels horrible. (Sorry if you disagree but archery is not what we saw in original footage):

Even changing reticle to three point, removing the trail and vertical aim correction and it still feels like a dumbed down and learning curveless version of what we saw above and in Warband. - also in Multiplayer if you don't keep vertical correction on - then all archers who do have laser aim which feels like they are using sniper rifles not bows.

3 - Siege AI. Just so much goes wrong or is buggy or the performance just in general depending on the map is just terrible (this is a big one for me).
Also I never once got to participate in a siege defence in about 150 hours of gameplay.

Bonus 2:

1 - Implement a proper banner editor in game, one that also applies to unit tabards and banners (without needing a mod). There used to be a copy paste system from a website that was sufficient enough. It was simple but you could make some amazing things with it. Bring it back.

2 - Troop banners and flags. Come on it's called Bannerlord. Where are the banners flying above the troops as shown in the old footage?

EDIT: Added screenshot for point 1.

Great idea to start this thread!

1) More non-fighting activities. - For example: add a pursuit on horseback (through the streets) after a prison break, some kind of friendly competition in the tavern and more interaction with your workshops and villages. This would give players more reason to enjoy the settlement/village scenes without a battle.
2) As others have mentioned: It would be nice if the player can receive people at his court to hear their troubles and make a decision. The player can for example judge about criminal cases, economic issues and problems between notables and lords/companions. The decisions can have some impact and eventually lower settlement issues, which is positive for the loyalty of the settlement. People like to be heard by their ruler.
3) For the longer term: Add intellectuals. Settlements have craftsman, merchants and gangleaders. Intellectuals would bring a new dimension to the game, with knowledge and (medieval) science. They could give new quests (finding items for a scholar, experiment for him/her or escort him/her to a location) and might have a positive effect on a factions prestige, wealth and perks of individual lords.

Bro i'd absolutely love having a banner like this. The standard ones are so bleh. And the idea of having some people carrying those banners in battle would rock.

Oh yes. I've watched this video countless times. It hypes me even now, after release, because some parts of it look better to me than what we got. Banners may seem like an insignificant feature, but they make a massive visual difference, so I hope that they will make them work somewhat soon. There also seems to be more dust there and it looks cool, but maybe it's just me usually playing on non dusty maps. And the way that orders are relayed looks more immersive.

Look at how the orders use F1-F8. Wow Taleworlds wouldn't that be nice?
No lets just condense that into F1-F3. Oh then add hold fire back and shield wall that will shut the people on the forum up.
Just forget that the old system worked better. And also didn't require toggle on and off everytime you need your troops to change facing direction quickly.

Before you just looked which way you want them to face and press F2 and they did it. Was so much better.
Less clicks (speed) is important during combat.

In all seriousness though. It's almost like they don't play the game. As problems start to become quite obvious when you do large scale battles and try to micromanage 4 different troops types. The changes created so many problems in this regard.

I'm going to try to avoid the obvious answers like AI, sieges and temper my expectations to something I think should be achievable by even just a few devs in a relatively short amount of time.

1.) Faction Only Notifications -- Bold Green for net positive, Bold Red for negative. (colour blind mode for this too) ie

X(allied lord) was victorious in combat over X!
X(enemy lord) was taken prisoner by X!
X(allied lord) fort has been beseiged by X!

The village of X war raided by X(enemy lord)!
X(enemy lord) has escaped from captivity!

X(enemy lord) fort has been besieged by X!

Let's be honest the current implementation of notifications is usually a sea of useless grey text. Similar changes to relationship gain/loss, no pop up or noise is necessary.

Relationship has increased by x with x!

Relationship has decreased by x with x!

This significantly improves the ease of access for the player.

2.) High priority prisoner reminder (I did a write up with mock up image here)

3.) Better way to merge the player and AI parties when joining an ongoing fight (I did a write up here)
